⚠Teva Canada Ltd. is recalling two lots of Teva-Pregabalin 150 mg capsules after routine testing identified that some capsules 💊 may be contaminated with the drug sertraline. Patients with a hypersensitivity or allergy to sertraline could experience side effects or have a serious allergic reaction, including an anaphylactic reaction, even at a low exposure.

🚑 If you experience a serious allergic reaction (anaphylaxis), stop taking the affected product and seek immediate medical help by calling 9-1-1. Otherwise, do not stop taking your pregabalin medication without first speaking with your healthcare professional or pharmacist, as stopping suddenly may cause withdrawal symptoms. Return the product to the pharmacy where it was purchased as soon as possible for a replacement or alternative supply, and for proper disposal. If you are unsure whether your product is recalled, check with your pharmacy.

Cute Pet of the Week: Remi!
Remi is a 15 week old Pomeranian/Husky mix. We love how confident he is during his visits! This is his "more snacks" face, how can you resist?

This is Graci, a 4 year old French Bulldog.
Graci and her mom have been working with Emily to change how she feels about visiting the veterinary clinic.
Historically, Graci found being handled and touched by vet staff very scary. Just stepping foot into a clinic setting would cause her big feelings of worry.

Graci has been making huge strides during her Victory Visits. Just recently, (after only TWO Victory Visits!), she allowed Emily and then Dr. Gibson to place a stethoscope on her.

Due to Graci's stress around handling, Dr. Gibson and Graci's family decided that sedating her to complete the rest of the exam would be the kindest option. Using injectable sedation allows our veterinary team to thoroughly examine fearful pets and complete necessary procedures or diagnostics without the risk of:
-Increasing fear, stress and anxiety
-Causing pain or discomfort during a procedure or diagnostic
-Undoing training and positive associations
-Compromising the safety of the pet and staff members involved

Because we chose to sedate Graci instead of "pushing through" with our exam and ignoring her fears, she kept her happy feelings about visiting us. We will continue to work on her body handling and have no doubt that we will soon be able to complete an exam with her full participation!
Thank you to Graci's family for being so dedicated to her care and well-being and allowing us to share some of her story. 🥰🐾
