Our unregistered doe Patch gave us triplets last night. While I am bottle feeding the kids she will be looking for new pastures soon. Photos of her to come.

For now I present the Office Goats.

Faline - Doeling
Flower - Buckling
Bambi - Buckling

The boys will be whethered and available at 8 weeks as well as Faline. Patch comes from decent confirmation lines, but her capacity is lacking and therefore more pet quality. With me striving to have registered lines with higher capacity I need to be more strict in who I keep, and unfortunately unregistered goats are an automatic DQ on farm now.

Honey is milkstand trained for machine or hand. Nice udder and good sized attachments. Gives 1L when held back from kids. Normally throws twins or triplets.

Comes from a clean tested closed herd with all animals coming from clean tested closed herd sources.

June 19th when kids are weaned.

A little rant from Kopf Canyon Ranch...
Copper Deficiency - Fact or Fallacy?
A reddening black coat is a sign of copper deficiency.
Fact AND Fallacy.
It can be. In our experience - most of the time it isn't.
Our goats - and Karen - have hair that bleaches in the sun.
The black goats turn red - summer AND winter - and Karen - because she is already red - turns blonde. When the coat sheds - or the hair grows out - it returns to its original color, until the sun takes its toll again. The sun can also cause dryness and brittleness - "symptoms" of copper deficiency.
Copper is stored by the body and can accumulate toxic levels without symptoms. Use caution when supplementing - do not fix what isn't broken. S

The goats and sheep have new hay feeders! We'll be putting roofs on them soon, but this will definitely help reduce hay and grain waste!

Especially after our paddocks were scraped by True Blue Services, who did a phenomenal job. Absolutely recommend them, Nathan was very kind and careful around the livestock as we moved them from paddock to paddock.

Itty Bitty DN Laduni [CAN] D167117 is on the search for a new barn, due to no fault of her own. She is milkstand trained both machine and hand milking. Comes from clean tested closed herd.

Udder photo is with twin 6 week kids on her. She's ready for June 3rd.

Has not had milk testing or classification.
