This little guy, currently known as Buddy, is developing nicely.

We enjoyed having this little one around but are looking to place him in his forever home. We'd like him to have the opportunity to be shown and eventually used in our breeding program. Feel free to reach out if you are interested or want to discuss further.

He's had a vet exam with microchip and 1st vaccines, as well as an OFA eye exam, all results were fantastic. He's crate trained: at night he sleeps soundly from 9am to 6am without accidents, and in the daytime he takes 2 naps away from us (to mitigate separation anxiety). He's a superb traveler just like his Mama! And he's been extensively socialized and spent lots of time around other dogs, kids & cats. He's already learning impulse control skills through waiting for food (and doing amazing I might add). He likes to play and catch a ball, still working on returning it though. He's a quick learner who's eager to please, confident and curious, but enjoys settling down for cuddles too.

Happy 2nd birthday to the Aleah x Frodo litter (Hazel, Zoey, Legend, Bailey, Goose, Riley)! Hope all the pooches get spoiled with lots of love and treats.

'The wait' is a must in our house so it was time for Buddy to learn. He's gone from racing to his food 🏍 to waiting a couple seconds ⏲️. This is progress 🙌 ! We'll increase the wait a second or two at each meal and soon he'll have a wait like Max! ⏳️

Yesterday I took some photos of Buddy and this is my favourite 💙. Even though the lighting was off, I really like this one. It actually reminds me of a vintage photo.

Guardian Home arrangements can have a bit of a bad rap due to some less than ethical breeders (usually doodle or designer breeders) who use them to their sole advantage. The expectations they put on their Guardian Home families is unfair IMO. But I think that ethical breeders should really consider....

Charlie x Guy litter

Buddy has had a few baths now including blow dryer and hasn't minded so long as I was holding him. Here he was sleepy so I took the opportunity to do a bit of grooming. I worked on desensitizing him to the clippers and nail grinder. He did great and ended on a good note when he'd had enough. 💙

Mom's gone home so Buddy is just hanging out with Max now. It's been a fun filled weekend camping and experiencing new things. Max is starting to really enjoy playing with him! As much fun as Buddy is, it's time to get down to business and figure out the best placement for this puppy.

I've been experimenting with alternatives to fit paws ($$$) and think that yoga blocks ($) work pretty good for puppies. Buddy cooperated fairly well, allowing me to get a few good pics.

For those wondering... fit paws, or other alternatives, are used for strength & conditioning. They help a dog develop more awareness of their placement & positioning which helps with stacking practice.

We added something new to our play area... a saucer swing set! I wasn't sure if pup would take to it but he did immediately. I attempted to capture him using the swing but got a bit more.

First Buddy enjoys a front row seat to a WWWF competition between Mom and Uncle Max (they play hard) 🤣. Uncle Max flees from Mom Charlie (she's clearly won this round) 🥇, then uses the swing as a trampoline (yep, he loves the trampoline) 🤪 and bowls pup over. But Buddy is completely unfazed by the craziness and resumes his leisurely swing 🤦‍♀️.
