Last month we lost not only a pack member, but a best friend. If your dog has ever hiked with me theyβve met Charlie and it was likely an instant love affair. Charlie was the most loyal dog Iβve ever met, he took the βheelβ command to a next level and decided it was his personal job every hike to keep the back of my legs warm and never leave my side. He would get random days where he was feeling spicy and would have some zoomies, but he would always come right back and attach himself to me. The first day of snow fall was a whole different ballgame, that was a feral Charlie we rarely got to see π
Charlie was a part of every cuddle puddle, every treat break, every single hiking adventure and I was even lucky enough to get plenty of slumber parties with the best boy. He is family and we are devastated by this loss.
To Charlie, I am so grateful to have spent so much of your life with you and I will be missing you for the rest of mine. I know youβre in good company up there and just couldnβt resist the all-you-can-eat buffet but we miss you, and life feels more empty without you. You will never ever be forgotten. Love you, sir Charles forever π€
