Kathy is a certified pet groomer, and continues to upgrade her skills by attending seminars throughout Canada and the United States. It is extremely important to Kathy to be able to ensure the best quality service for you and your pets. Grooming is her passion and she takes great pride in her work and skills.

I thought this is a great photo to share to explain what happens when your dog's nails get too long. I've heard it said that people don't take their dogs to have their nails trimmed because "they never cut them short enough". The reason for this is because as the nails grow longer so do the quicks and risk of cutting the quick is very great. The only way to prevent this is to have regular monthly nail trims.

Ticks get on you by “questing.” A process where they climb onto tall grass, brush, or shrub and wait with out-stretched legs for a person or animal to pass by, immediately grabbing hold. They do not jump or fly, but climb up from low-lying vegetation onto shoes or legs, often crawling up to find a warm, dark and protected areas to bite.
