🌷🐓 My proudest accomplishment isn’t actually the farm—it’s my kids 💛
They are growing up to be responsible, motivated, conscientious humans, and, they’re a lot of fun to hang out with! I have to give credit to this lifestyle and all the people in our lives for that. Surrounded by animals, plants, fresh air, and a whole lot of love (from their whole network of family, friends, staff “farmily,” community-, and I couldn’t be more grateful. And, I’m happy they indulge me by letting me wrangle them for photos with me once a year for Mother’s Day 😉
To every mama out there—whether you’re raising humans, animals, or both—kudos to you. This job isn’t easy, but it’s oh so meaningful and rewarding.

The dramatic transformation happened today- shearing day! One of my favourite days on the farm; it’s a fresh hair cut for all the wooly babydoll sheep. We always look forward to it and Pieter did an amazing job as always! Thank you Piet! The sheep feel fresh and springy just in time for this warm sunny weather we are having.
Now to sort and pack all the wonderful wool! 🧶

Happy Earth Day from all of us here at Yellow Point Farms 🌎💚

It’s been full on few weeks out in the fields… digging up stubborn weeds, planting new strawberries 🍓, spreading our YPF “special blend 😉” manure and sawdust mulch for the blueberries (not glamorous, but so important for getting plump, unsprayed blueberries 🫐 in a few months), and so much more.

At the same time, we love seeing all the new growth around us: the garlic getting taller, the blueberry leaves slowly uncurling, the apple trees waking up one tiny bud at a time. 🌿

Days like this remind us that taking care of the earth isn’t one big action- it’s a thousand small, steady ones. It’s choosing not to spray. It’s building healthy soil instead of forcing quick growth. It’s pulling weeds by hand. It’s utilizing our poultry for pest control. It’s trusting that when we’re taking care of our land, it will give back. 🌱
So today, we’re celebrating the earth the best way we know how: by getting our hands dirty and doing the work to keep our land thriving, and growing the best produce! Thanks for being a part of it with us. ☺️

Happy Pet Day to our favourite farm helper, Honey 🐾💛

Yes, there are plenty of adorable farm animals around here like our baby goats 🐐, lambs 🐑, and piglets 🐽 - but Honey holds a special place as the one who’s always in the middle of it all. You can find her supervising chores, greeting customers at the farm store, and making sure everything is running just as it should… or at least looking very cute while pretending to help. 😄🐶

When you stop by the farm store, keep an eye out for her - she’s usually nearby and happy to say hello (and get a few belly scratches!) She’s a very important member of Yellow Point Farms, if you ask us. 💛

Piglet update! All 10 are doing well… growing exponentially 😆. Peaches is such a good (and patient) mom!! 🐷
You can still visit them… Hours for the farm store and petting farm are Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10-4 for the next couple months while we catch up behind the scenes on farm work!
Oh and P.S. a few piglets out of this litter will be available, only boars/barrows available. These guys do best with a friend … so either you must have another pig buddy already or get two 🐖 🐖.

We might have the cutest little helpers this year, and yes, they’re as soft and snuggly as they look. 🐥💛

With Easter right around the corner, the farm is feeling a little extra peep-y - and both the farm store and petting farm will be open over Easter! Stop by, see what’s new in the farm store (we have veggies for Easter too), and maybe hold these little fluffballs for yourself. ☺️

We are open the entire Easter long weekend: Friday, April 3rd to Monday, April 6 from 10am-4pm.

We honestly don’t even know where to start 🥹🐄🤍

This spring break has been record-breaking- amazing… and somehow, in the middle of all the busyness, still full of quiet, special moments just like these—sleepy piglet snuggles, brand new babies, gentle pony grazes, and wide-eyed little visitors 🐖🐐

It’s been full in the very best way… tons of cuteness, playfulness, and full of connection 🤍

To everyone who came out… you made it so special.
We’re catching our breath (just a little 😅) and getting ready for another busy week ahead. We will be farming all week- tending the blueberry fields and the last four ewes still to lamb! Plus more goat babies on the way. It’s hard to believe Easter is almost here too! 🐣

We’ll be open all of Easter weekend: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday April 3-6th, 10-4 for drop in visitors. Come say hi—either again or for the first time! There are lots of soft noses and fuzzy faces waiting for you 🤍🐑
