🎉 BIG NEWS! WE’RE NOW OPEN 24 HOURS!🐾
Starting this week, Fantastic Beasts Veterinary Services Parksville will officially be open 24 hours a day!
While we are striving for 24hr, 7 days/wk, 365 days/yr coverage, we already know there will be occasional dates and times that we cannot cover. We will try to update our social media and website as soon as possible for these instances.
Also, a quick reminder that we are not an emergency hospital or referral center. While we can accommodate most cases, there will be times that we recommend referring patients to a larger center - so please phone before bringing your pet whenever possible!
Our Animal Health Link (AHL) after-hours team will continue to be available by phone to help guide pet owners with any pet-related concerns. Pets requiring urgent or same-day assessment can be referred to us through AHL when appropriate.
Our expanded hours also allow us to provide continued hospitalization and overnight monitoring for our patients, as well as help with some patients requiring ongoing care when local clinics close.
📞 Please continue to call first before coming in. This helps ensure your pet is directed to the most appropriate care and allows our team to be prepared for their arrival.
This is a big and exciting step for our team, and we’re incredibly grateful for your patience and continued support as we settle into being 24/7! 💜🐾

A wonderful, heartfelt review. Thank you for entrusting me with your fur babies. I will miss you and wish you all the best with your new adventure.

My journey with Sarah began many years ago when she worked with Pat, caring for my other dogs, Chloe and Wimpy. When Sarah eventually started out on her own, she continued caring for Wimpy and Uno, and over the years, she became so much more than someone who cared for my dogs—she became a friend. Since then, we’ve had to say goodbye to both Chloe and Wimpy, and today was Uno’s final appointment with Sarah as we prepare to move out of province. My heart was heavy saying goodbye, and I only hope Uno felt the same comfort and love that I did being in Sarah’s care. I will truly miss Sarah’s compassion, kindness, and dedication to Uno. She has a heart of gold and a remarkable ability to turn what seems like an impossible situation into something manageable. Without hesitation, she would always find a way to make things work, and that meant more to me than words can express. Thank you, Sarah, for all the years of care, love, patience, and dedication you have shown to my fur babies. You have been such a blessing to our family, and while this may be a goodbye for now, I will carry so much gratitude for you in my heart. I will miss you dearly, my friend. ❤️ With heartfelt thanks and appreciation, TLM

I don’t often share my reviews, but they do mean so much to me. Thank you to all of my clients for trusting me with your fur babies.

Comments: I’ve been getting my miniature schnauzer groomed with Sarah since she was a pup. She does such a fabulous job. my dog is five years old. I have tried different groomers throughout the years I continue to go back to Sarah. I drive an hour to get to her. That is how good she is. Her space is calm and I trust her. She’s the best💖 Thank you for loving my little munchkin as I do Angela

This is one way to help your pup/dog get used to grooming. Also, lots of touch and gentle holding of their face, legs, paws, ears, etc.
