I came across this article and thought it was worth sharing. We often talk about how much happiness our dogs bring us, but new research is giving us an even better understanding of the relationship between canine companionship and our emotional health. It’s a really interesting read, especially during a time when so many people are experiencing loneliness. 😊

In an era of epidemic loneliness, studies prove what dog owners already know: A friendly pup brings real comfort and connection.

Many of us enjoy walking our dogs on trails in the local mountains. Here's some important information and advice from Parks Canada for how to keep our dogs, and ourselves, safe from the wildlife that lives there. Don't forget, a leash can be a long line that gives your dog freedom but gives you the power to control and limit it for safety. Enjoy your walks! 😊🐾

Scent detection is truly a sport for all dogs. 🐾 It is easy to find activities for our dogs that are young and healthy and have easy-going temperaments. However, some dogs have challenges such as health problems or behavioural issues that can limit what they can do and participate in. In Scent Detection, it is easy to manipulate the environment so that all dogs, including those with challenges, can play. In this video, I illustrate this point by talking about some of the dogs I’ve worked with. If you have a dog with challenges, I really encourage you to get involved in this game.
