Northern Lights Veterinary Clinic

Did You Know?

Providing consistent veterinary care in Labrador West hasn't always been easy.

Like many rural and remote communities, attracting and retaining veterinarians can be challenging. Over the years, Northern Lights Veterinary Clinic has made a significant commitment to ensuring our community continues to have access to veterinary care.

During periods when there was no active local veterinarian, we worked to maintain coverage by bringing experienced locum veterinarians to Labrador West and providing telemedicine services. This allowed us to continue offering regular veterinary care as well as access to emergency services for our clients and their pets.

A tremendous amount of work has happened behind the scenes to maintain that continuity of care, and we're proud of what our team has accomplished.

Today, we're very fortunate to have two full-time veterinarians who have chosen not only to work at Northern Lights Veterinary Clinic, but to make Labrador West their home.

We're committed to continuing to build veterinary services right here in our community.

Did You Know?

Northern Lights Veterinary Clinic has been part of the Labrador West community for more than 35 years, including over 10 years under our current local ownership.

We're proud to be 100% locally owned and operated, and even prouder of the commitment our team has made to ensuring veterinary care remains available right here in our community.

Over the years, we've worked hard to recruit and relocate veterinarians to Labrador West, bring experienced locum and specialty veterinarians to our region, provide 24/7 emergency coverage, and introduce innovative services such as telemedicine when local veterinary resources were limited.

Today, we're fortunate to have two full-time veterinarians who have chosen to make Labrador West home, supported by an incredible team of people who share a genuine passion for the health and well-being of companion animals.

Our commitment extends beyond the clinic. We believe in supporting the community that has supported us, through local sponsorships, fundraisers and giving back a portion of our profits to community initiatives.

After more than 35 years, our focus remains the same: providing accessible, high-quality and professional veterinary care to the pets and families of Labrador West.

Thank you for continuing to trust Northern Lights Veterinary Clinic with the care of your pets. We are proud to be part of this community and look forward to serving Labrador West for many years to come.
