Dear valued clients and friends,

It is with mixed emotions that Matrix and I share some important news about Domestic Alpha. After careful consideration, we have decided to close our doors following the 2023 Christmas Holidays.

This decision comes after a busy summer spent cherishing moments with our growing boys and navigating a particularly challenging tick season. The experience of raising our family has underscored the importance of investing more time and energy into creating lasting memories with our beautiful children.

While our business has allowed Steven to be present at home this past year, we feel it's time to prioritize even more freedom for our boys to explore various activities and experiences with us by their side.

We want to express our deepest gratitude for three wonderful years of success in serving you and your beloved pets. It has been a true pleasure building relationships with each of you, and we apologize for any inconvenience this decision may cause.

Although Domestic Alpha will be closing its doors, we are pleased to share that we will continue to offer raw dog food and Biothane leashes and collars.

If you have any concerns or questions during this transition, please don't hesitate to reach out. We appreciate your understanding and support as we embark on this new chapter in our lives.

Did you know we sell raw food?

We have always personally fed our dog raw and have always noticed a big difference in his overall health with it!
When customers ask me about health concerns I always recommend talking to your vet, but I always recommend feeding raw as well!

We have sourced raw food for dogs locally so our customers can grab whatever amount they want more conveniently, especially for daycare dogs who come on a regular basis!

Tuesday Daycare Dogs!

Rocko has come to us for a bit now ❤ although he just anxietly paces while he is here for the first bit, we are so proud of how well he does with all the dogs we have paired him with!

Chibbs is a big beautiful sweet heart 🥰🥰🥰 he's new and this is his 3rd week! He gets reactive with larger dogs but has been nothing but a rock star when he is here! Has done well with all the dogs he's paired with and soooo affectionate with people!

Rosie is definitely our little wild child 🥰 she is Rockos little sister and has more energy then she knows what to do with and can be a little overwhelming for Rocko sometimes. She is great with the other dogs we have paired her with, but can freak them out a little with her excitement so that's why we are working on teaching her how to settle! When she passes out and realxes we give her back her freedom and the dogs are usually pretty calm after doing this!

Went for our first walk of the day with these three and Hades and 2 people complimented us on how nicely they were walking!!! ❤🥰❤🥰 why did I leave my phone at home!! 😭 do you know how amazing it feels to walk 3 reactive dogs and get complimented kn their behavior! 🥰🥰🥰 I am so proud of these dogs and how far they are coming!

A - Is Tucker, A beautiful boy who is reactive towards males! Steven has always been amazing at working with dogs like this as he is calm and sweet with them and willing to lay on the floor till they come his way 😍 You can tell by the smile on his face that it was worth the wait 🥰

B - Of course you know Hades, Stevens partner in crime! Wondering why mom is trying to interfere with boy time! 😍

C- Is the extremely lovely Miss Maya ❤ who steals our hearts every week with her super lovey, affectionate snuggles! 🥰 Honestly, it's hard to keep this little lady off you!

D - Is our littlest lady Rosie, she is also usually all over Steven but is more than content with my forced snuggles on her 😍

They are all winners, cause they all get love and affection from the master snuggler Steven! But we thought it would be a fun way to share all these snuggles with you guys as well! 🥰

Happy Tuesday Everyone! 🐶

Today we wanted to show off the 4 ft wooden gate we built inside for dog safety!

In this photo little Rosie Lee 🥰🥰🥰 is on the other side playing with an enrichment toy!

We also use it as a way of exposure training for reactive dogs! We have had a few clients bring their dogs for daycare to get exposure therapy to other dogs and we use this and our training dog on site as a way to get them that exposure.

When working with reactive dogs we make sure the dog will have a safe and positive experience so daycare can often just consist of the training dog on site and the dog here for exposure therapy.

The second photo is Rocko (dog reactive) meeting Hades for the first time but we wanted to upgrade the gate!

We also have compatible groups working on resource guarding or separation anxiety but are dog friendly!

Hey everyone! 🥰

I am very lucky to announce that I have quit the 9-5 lifestyle, to take on Domestic Alpha full time.

We have had so much support and clients have been so amazing and I am so excited and grateful to be able to give this more of my time and attention!

Currently Dog Walking, Boarding and Grooming are essential services and with jumping to full time we have more openings available to help those desperately waiting to get back into routine.

Thank you everyone, for supporting our dream and helping me change the quality of lives for dogs who need it the most ❤

There was a chance we were not gonna see beautiful miss Maya this week, but if putting together a shuttle service means we didn't have to miss out on our weekly snuggles with this lovely lady 🥰🥰🥰 than we were happy to make that happen!

We have limited space but that is because our focus is to cater our service to help your dog grow. We welcome all and are excited and happy to accommodate whatever needs your dog may have. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions!
