Kingsdale Animal Hospital is a full service animal hospital located centrally to Waterloo, Kitchener and Cambridge. We provide veterinary care for small animals such as: Wellness examinations and vaccinations, laser surgery, nutritional and behavioural guidance, therapeutic laser treatments and more. We also have a full service boarding facility for all pets to ensure a comfortable stay while you're away!

When the temperatures rise, it’s important to help your furry friends stay cool and comfortable.

🌳 Keep outdoor adventures short and make sure your pet always has access to shade and fresh water.

🌅 Plan walks for early mornings or later evenings when the ground and air are cooler.

🔥 Before heading out, test the pavement with your hand—if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for their paws!

🐶 Senior pets, overweight pets, and brachycephalic breeds (like Bulldogs, Pugs, and Boston Terriers) are especially sensitive to heat and may overheat more quickly.

🎾 On extra hot days, swap outdoor playtime for indoor games, enrichment toys, or a fun training session.

🚗 And remember: even for a few minutes, a parked car can become dangerously hot. Never leave your pet unattended in a vehicle.
