Kenzie completed her Puppy Foundations Program 🥳❤️

Kenzie has worked hard and picked up the basics of sit, down, stay, and loose-leash walking, along with learning how to settle on place in the home

We also worked on crate training, potty training, and nail trims to help set her up for success in all the everyday things that come with being a well-mannered family dog

Kenzie is an incredibly smart, eager-to-learn girl, and she has been such a pleasure to work with 🌟

She’s heading home with a great foundation, lots of new skills, and the tools she needs to continue learning and growing with her family!

Welcome Wilson to our On-Leash Board & Train Program!

We’ve got plenty to work on with this big guy!

Our biggest goal? Teaching Wilson that he doesn’t need to walk like he’s pulling a freight train! 🚂😂 We’ll be working on proper leash manners, learning to walk calmly beside his handler, and developing better listening skills and engagement

He’ll also be building a solid foundation in his sit, down, place, stay, along with everyday manners and obedience so he can be a more polite, reliable companion both inside and out

We’re excited to get started and help Wilson become the best version of himself! ❤️🐾

Welcome Saige to our Puppy Foundations Board & Train!

Saige is here to build the foundation for becoming a confident, well-mannered, and all-around fantastic family dog

A big part of Saige’s program will be crate training and potty training, helping her develop good habits, learn to settle calmly, and understand that the crate is a safe and comfortable place to relax

We’ll also be working through the full spectrum of socialization and exposure, not just meeting people and playing with other dogs, but learning how to calmly experience the sights, sounds, environments, surfaces, distractions, handling, grooming, car rides, public spaces, and everyday situations that will make up her life

Alongside all of that, Saige will begin building her obedience foundations, engagement, focus, and household manners

Our goal is to give this sweet girl the tools she needs to grow into the well-rounded puppy and family companion every owner dreams of 💛

Welcome Bobby to our Board & Train Program!

This handsome boy is a rescue who has joined us for some training, confidence building, and a little help navigating the world with more ease

Bobby is a sweet boy, but he can be a little nervous and timid in new situations. He needs some additional socialization and exposure to help him become more comfortable and confident when out and about

During his time with us, we’ll be touching up all of his obedience, teaching him a reliable off-leash recall, and giving him plenty of positive experiences in different environments, around new people, distractions, and new situations

Our goal isn’t just to teach Bobby obedience, it’s to help him feel confident enough to use those skills wherever life takes him

We’re excited to watch this sweet rescue boy come out of his shell and show us just how much he’s capable of ❤️

Welcome Molly to our Board & Train Program!

Molly is an 18-month-old Labrador who has come to us with a severe, long-standing case of resource guarding and aggression

Molly guards her toys, crate, food, high-value bones and chews, and even the kitchen. Her aggression doesn’t stop there, she is also aggressive during nail trims, ear handling, medical care, and even having a diaper put on while she is in heat. She has bitten and punctured her owners multiple times, requiring stitches, and her guarding has become so intense that she has actually chased her own owners out of the kitchen

Molly has already been through three trainers without success

This isn’t a new behaviour that suddenly appeared. Molly has been guarding since she was a small puppy, and as she has matured, the behaviour has continued to escalate. What makes Molly’s case particularly important is that she is not presenting as a fearful or insecure dog. Her resource guarding is forward, committed, and deeply ingrained, with a strong genetic component

At this point, it’s time for a change

Molly’s family deserves to feel safe in their own home, and Molly deserves the opportunity to learn a different way of interacting with the people around her

Stay tuned for Molly’s journey, including before-and-after videos as we work toward creating a safer, more manageable future for both Molly and her family ❤️‍🩹

Freddy recently completed our 8-week Aggression Board & Train Program

When Freddy was adopted from a shelter, his new family took a chance on a dog that most people would have walked away from. He came with a history of multiple bites involving different people, and once he settled into his new home, they quickly realized just how severe his behavioural struggles were

Walking Freddy simply wasn't possible. If he saw another dog he became frustrated by leash pressure, he would redirect onto his handlers, attempting to bite them. He chewed through multiple leashes trying to get to what he wanted, and the same redirection would happen inside the home in various scenarios. Outside of the house, he had absolutely no engagement - his name, food, toys, praise... nothing mattered. His world was simply too overwhelming

Freddy's rehabilitation had to begin slowly and safely. We started with a two-leash system to ensure everyone remained safe while he worked through his frustration. In the beginning, he focused on biting the leashes instead of the handlers. Little by little, Freddy began to learn that he didn't have to meet frustration with aggression

As his emotional regulation improved, we were able to build engagement, trust, communication, and the obedience skills that would ultimately change his life

Freddy was never a "bad dog." He was a dog who needed understanding, structure, and someone willing to show him a different way

Watching Freddy transform has been incredibly rewarding. Seeing him learn to think instead of react, to look to his handlers for guidance instead of making impulsive decisions, and to finally be able to enjoy the world around him has been nothing short of amazing

His owners never gave up on him, even when things felt impossible. They saw the dog underneath the behaviour and chose to fight for him. That decision gave Freddie the opportunity to become the dog he was always capable of being

We can't wait to watch you continue to grow, build confidence, and finally enjoy the happy, fulfilling life every dog deserves!

River came to us to help work through and better manage his severe genetic anxiety. His family did everything right from the day they brought him home, but unfortunately genetics can have a huge impact, and no amount of perfect raising can completely overcome poor breeding

It's important to know that "Isabella German Shepherd" is simply a rare out of standard coat colour. Sadly, many backyard breeders focus on producing this colour because it sells for a premium, while health, temperament, and stable genetics are often overlooked

When River first arrived, his fear was so overwhelming that he couldn't process anything in public. He wouldn't respond to his name or even simple cues like sit or down because his anxiety completely took over. He also refused food and toys outside the home and would even run away from his family inside the house and outdoors out of fear he may be called into a situation he is uncomfortable in

Today, River is happily going to the park with his family, playing fetch, taking food in public, enjoying toys outside the home, and confidently working through situations that once felt impossible

While he'll always be an anxious dog, he now has the tools to navigate the world with far more confidence.
We're incredibly proud of River and his wonderful family. His journey is a reminder that while training can make an incredible difference, responsible breeding and sound genetics truly matter! ❤️

Jerry's Go-Home Day! 🐾❤️

Unfortunately, due to the extreme heat leading up to and on Jerry's go-home day, we weren't able to film our usual outdoor public go-home video, as it simply wasn't safe for him. His health and well-being always come first

Instead, we held his public go-home session inside Home Depot, where Jerry was so excited to show his mom everything he had learned throughout his training. We managed to capture a few clips of him proudly showing off his new obedience, and we couldn't be more proud of how well he did

Way to go, Jerry! We can't wait to see all the amazing things you accomplish back at home ❤️

🎉 Go-Home Day for Marlee! 🎉

We are so proud of this amazing 8-month-old girl and everything she accomplished during her 4-week Board & Train program. Marlee worked incredibly hard, even through the recent 40-degree heat wave!

She is heading home with a solid sit, down, place, stay, heel and loose-leash walking, off-leash recall, and the ability to perform her commands in busy environments and around distractions. We also spent time reinforcing her in-home manners, crate training, grooming skills, and nail trims.

Marlee has made tremendous progress, and we can't wait to see her continue to succeed at home. Congratulations, Marlee! ❤️🐾
