🐾🩷 A Little Message From the Heart — Chic Pup 🩷🐾

I wanted to take a moment to share something.

I created Chic Pup because of one simple thing: my absolute love for dogs and my passion for grooming them. 🐶💕

This page is meant to be a happy place. A place to share adorable pups, beautiful transformations, funny moments, grooming tips, and all the little things that make my job so special.

I’ve noticed a few comments about the use of AI in some of my posts, and while I completely understand that everyone has their own opinions, I kindly want to remind everyone that this page isn’t a place for debates, negativity, or arguments.

Sometimes I use AI to create fun, cute, or creative images for my business. That’s all it is. A little creativity to go along with something I’m incredibly passionate about.

AI doesn’t groom your dogs. I do. ❤️

The patience, the care, the cuddles, the hard work, and the love that go into every single groom? That’s 100% real, and that’s what Chic Pup is all about.

You don’t have to love every post or every creative choice I make, and that’s perfectly okay. But I do ask that we keep this little corner of the internet positive, respectful, and focused on what brought us all here in the first place: our love for dogs. 🐾

There’s already enough negativity in the world. I’d much rather fill this page with wagging tails, happy faces, and beautiful pups.

🐾 Why Do We Have a Cancellation Fee? 🐾

We completely understand that life happens. Things come up, plans change, and sometimes you simply can’t make your appointment. We truly do understand. ❤️

But we wanted to share a little bit about why 24 hours’ notice is so important to us.

When you book an appointment, that time is reserved specifically for your dog. That means we turn away other clients who may have wanted that spot.

When an appointment is cancelled at the last minute — or when a dog doesn’t show up — we often don’t have enough time to fill that space with another appointment.

That means:

🐶 Another dog could have been given that spot. 💰 That is income we don’t receive. ⏰ The time was still set aside and cannot always be replaced. 📅 Last-minute cancellations can leave a significant gap in our day.

As a small business, our appointment times are how we support ourselves, pay our expenses, and keep our doors open. A missed appointment affects us in much the same way that missing a shift at work would affect an employee.

Our 24-hour cancellation policy isn't meant to be punitive or make anyone feel bad. It's simply there to help protect our business and allow us to give other clients the opportunity to book that time.

We will always do our best to be understanding when unexpected things happen. ❤️ We just ask that, whenever possible, you give us at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

Thank you for understanding, respecting our time, and supporting our small business. 🐾

The answer to the famous question:

🐾 WHY DOES A GROOMING APPOINTMENT TAKE 2+ HOURS? ✂️✨

We completely understand that when you drop off your pup, it can sometimes feel like, “How can it possibly take that long?” — especially when you see how beautiful and fluffy they look when they come home! 🥰

But there is a LOT more that goes into a professional groom than simply giving your dog a haircut.

Every appointment can include:

🛁 A thorough bath with professional shampoo & conditioner
💨 Blow-drying — often slowly and carefully to properly dry the coat
🪮 Brushing & removing loose or tangled hair
✂️ Clipping, sc******ng and shaping the haircut
👂 Ear cleaning
🐾 Nail trimming & grinding
✨ Finishing touches and making sure your pup looks and feels their best
🧹 And, of course, cleaning and sanitizing everything between appointments

And every dog is different! ❤️

Some dogs have thicker coats, more hair, mats, shedding, sensitive skin, or simply need a little more time and patience. Some dogs are nervous, wiggly or unsure about certain parts of grooming, and we would never rush them just to save a few minutes.

Even a small dog can take well over an hour when you consider the entire process from start to finish.

🐶 Our goal isn’t to get your dog in and out as quickly as possible. Our goal is to give them a safe, comfortable, thorough and beautiful grooming experience.

So if your pup’s appointment takes 1.5 hours, 2 hours, or sometimes a little longer, please know that every minute is being spent caring for your dog. 💕
