My grandparents, Marius and Sarie Kuipers, immigrated from Holland in the 1920's and started the Orchard on Barnaby Road. During this time the Orchard was a commercial and local producer of cherries, apricots, peaches, pears, apple, and prunes. During the 80’s, 90’s and 00’s my parents, Richard and Edith Kuipers transitioned the orchard from commercial production while scaled back the orchard sign

ificantly. Large sections of the apple and pear orchard where removed and in my fathers advanced years he did what he could to manage the orchard and farm while not replanting any new fruit trees. Today, one hundred years later from my grandparents’ time the orchard and farm are still active selling cherries, apricots, peaches, and prunes. We are planting new tree’s yearly and growing the orchard in the interest of serving our local community as well as tourists that visit yearly. The original property is divided in two with my sister and her husband owning Twin Oaks Organic Orchard next door. Our agricultural philosophy doesn’t embrace commercial mono-cropping or high-density fruit growing techniques that create an orchard environment that requires high pesticide use. With our eco-diverse orchard environment, you can be assured that pesticide use is limited dramatically in comparison to commercial growers. We are third generation farmers, and we invite you to come and enjoy some of our delicious fruit while taking in the beautiful view of Okanagan Lake. We offer the u-pick experience for all our fresh fruit.

We originally thought there weren’t enough peaches left to reopen for U-pick — but after a closer look, we found lots of beautiful Glohaven peaches still hiding in the trees!

Come out and hunt through the trees for beautiful, tree-ripened peaches!

U-PICK

Admission: $3.00 per person (ages 10+)
Peaches: $3.50/lb

🍑 Glohaven Peach Update — U-Pick Finished

Our U-pick peach season is now finished for 2026. Thank you to everyone who came out and enjoyed the orchard with us!

We still have a limited number of Glohaven peaches remaining on the trees. Rather than reopening for U-pick, we’re going to let these peaches ripen to peak perfection on the trees, then carefully hand-pick them ourselves.

Once they’re ready, they’ll be available pre-picked at our fruit stand. We’ll post an update when they’re ready for purchase.

🍑 What’s Next?

Our U-pick Late Italian prune plums are next! We expect them to be ready in the next couple of weeks, as we head into the final harvest of our 2026 fruit season.

Stay tuned for updates as the plums get closer to harvest!

🍑 Peach Season Update — Temporarily Closed 🍑

After an exceptionally busy weekend, we are temporarily closed while we assess the remaining peach crop.

We currently have very few unripe Glohaven peaches left on the trees. We’re going to give the orchard some time and see where things are at before determining whether we’ll be able to reopen for any additional peach picking.

Once we have a better idea of what remains and when it may be ready, we’ll post an update on our website. Please check there before making a trip to the farm.

Our apricot and cherry seasons have now ended, and we sincerely thank everyone who came out and enjoyed the orchard with us this summer.

Looking ahead, plum season is expected later in August, so there may still be another opportunity to visit the farm before our 2026 fruit season wraps up.

Mid-Season Apricots Are Now Ready! 🍑

Our mid-season apricots are now ready for U-pick!

This year’s apricot crop is limited due to a cold spell during blossoming, so availability will depend on how much ripe fruit is on the trees each day. We will remain open for U-pick as long as fruit is available.

Our Tilton apricots are not ready yet and will be especially limited this season due to the spring weather. We’ll post an update when they are ready for picking.
