🐾 Meet the Team Monday! 🐾

This week we’re featuring Jess!

Jess is originally from Kelowna and graduated from Veterinary Assistant school in 2023. After completing her practicum with us, she knew KVH was the place for her and soon became a valued member of our team.

A lot of what Jess does happens behind the scenes, helping keep the clinic running smoothly and ensuring our patients receive the best possible care. Her dedication, positive attitude, and willingness to help wherever needed make her an important part of the KVH family.

When she’s not at the clinic, Jess enjoys spending time with her husband and her two cats, Parma and Feta. In the summer, you’ll often find her out in the garden making the most of the sunshine. 🌻🐱

We’re so happy to have Jess as part of the Kelowna Veterinary Hospital team! Be sure to say hi next time you see her around the clinic. 💙

We're proud to be partnering with the Kelowna Veterinary Care Foundation for a special fundraising day on June 10th. 💙🐾

KVCF is a local rescue led by veterinary professionals dedicated to helping vulnerable animals through medical care, rehoming, foster support, and assistance for families facing unexpected veterinary expenses.

On Wednesday, June 10th, 100% of all nail trim proceeds at Kelowna Veterinary Hospital will be donated directly to KVCF.

It's a simple way to keep your pet comfortable while helping another animal receive the care they need.

Some stories stay with you.

Vinny is one of them.

This sweet two-year-old Maine C**n mix has already undergone one major hip surgery — and now, heartbreakingly, he needs a second after the same painful orthopedic condition affected his other hip.

His family has done everything they can. Extra shifts, longer hours, financial sacrifices — all to give Vinny the chance at a comfortable, pain-free life.

At Kelowna Veterinary Hospital, we are incredibly proud to support the work being done by the Kelowna Veterinary Care Foundation and the compassionate people behind it. Organizations like KVCF exist because sometimes families just need a little help carrying the weight of unexpected veterinary care.

Vinny’s surgery is being performed at rescue pricing by our team, but there is still over $2,000 remaining in surgical and medical expenses.

We’re so proud to see what a few of our team members have created through Kelowna Veterinary Care Foundation.

Built from a shared love of animals and a desire to help families facing impossible situations, KVCF has quickly grown into something really special within our community. From supporting pets needing expensive surgeries or medications, to helping with fostering and rehoming efforts, the foundation exists because a group of passionate humans decided they wanted to do more.

These women spend their days caring for animals at Kelowna Veterinary Hospital and somehow still find the energy to give even more of themselves after hours to help pets and families in need. We could not be prouder. ❤️

KVCF is always looking for kind, like-minded people in our community who want to help — whether through fostering, fundraising, volunteering, donating, or simply sharing their mission.

every animal deserves a chance.

Every day in veterinary medicine, we see the reality behind the scenes — animals who need urgent care, ongoing treatment, or simply a safe place to land… but don’t always have access to it.
Sometimes it’s financial barriers. Sometimes it’s circumstance. Sometimes it’s timing.

And sometimes, it’s the kind of case that stays with you — the one where you wish you could do just a little more.

This foundation was created from those moments.

Through the Kelowna Veterinary Care Foundation, we are committed to:

In a city filled with so many incredible veterinary hospitals and hundreds of talented veterinary professionals, we genuinely never expected this. Kelowna… you simply showed up for us. You voted. You supported us. And you reminded us why we love this community so much.

We are beyond humbled, grateful, and honestly a little overwhelmed in the best possible way.
