Spring is here and so is farm equipment on our roads! 🚜

Peterborough County, in partnership with the Peterborough County Federation of Agriculture and the Ontario Provincial Police - Central Region, is reminding motorists to slow down, be patient, and stay alert this planting season.

Farmers are hard at work growing the food that sustains us, and their workplace often includes our roadways. Help keep everyone safe by remembering these key tips:

🚜 Slow Down: Watch for the orange triangle marking slow-moving vehicles.
⏳ Be Patient: Only pass when it's absolutely safe.
👀 Stay Alert: Equipment may have limited visibility.
↩️ Wide Turns: Never pass a turning farm vehicle.
🚧 Lane Changes: Be aware of farm vehicles moving around obstacles.
📏 Safe Distance: Never cut in front after passing
🚨️ Fines: Careless driving = $490 fine + 6 demerit points.
