🤍🐾 A Little Life Update from Our Family 🐾🤍

As many of you know, we are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our newest family member! With our scheduled C-section approaching, we’ll be taking a short break from hosting guests beginning June 8, and will gradually begin welcoming pups back starting June 21.

This little business has become so much more than we ever imagined, and we are incredibly grateful for the trust you’ve placed in us to care for your beloved dogs. Your support has allowed us to build something truly special, and we couldn’t be more thankful.

While we take some time to recover, bond, and adjust to life as a family of four, I will still be answering calls, messages, and emails—responses may just be a little slower than usual.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support. We can’t wait to introduce our newest little adventure buddy and welcome your pups back soon! 🖤

Meet Zack & Bella, two beautiful 8-year-old Australian Shepherd littermates who are staying with us for their very first visit! ❤️

These two have settled in wonderfully and are making themselves right at home. With our schedule slowing down as we prepare to take some time off starting tomorrow, Zack & Bella have had the luxury of enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and having the property all to themselves.

Whether they’re exploring the yard, playing fetch, or simply relaxing side by side, they’ve been an absolute pleasure to host. We love seeing first-time guests settle in so comfortably and show off their unique personalities.

These two are regular guests here at Cedar & Sunflowers, and one of the most rewarding parts of what we do is building genuine relationships with the dogs who stay with us.

Usually, I’m just the fetch-and-treat lady in Mr. Edi’s eyes, but this visit was different. He melted right into me and gave the sweetest snuggles—one of those moments that reminds me exactly why I love what I do. 🥹

Sweet River has a much more laid-back approach to her vacations. She’s always welcome to join in on a game of fetch when the mood strikes, but she’s just as happy relaxing in the shade alongside our son, Bowen, quietly taking it all in while Edi enjoys endless rounds of Chuckit. ☀️🎾

Every dog is different, and getting to know their unique personalities, preferences, and quirks is what makes our boutique, low-capacity approach so special. River and Edi truly feel like part of the family, and we love seeing their excitement each time Mom and Dad pull into the driveway for another stay. 🐾

Bailey is a 3-year-old American Bully who is currently staying with us for her very first boarding visit!

Like many first-time guests, Bailey was naturally a little unsure of her new surroundings when she first arrived. One of the biggest advantages of our boutique, low-capacity approach is that we’re able to take things at each dog’s individual pace, allowing them the time and space they need to feel comfortable.

With plenty of patience, personalized care, and a calm environment, Bailey has been steadily coming out of her shell—and now that she’s finding her confidence, she’s having an absolute blast! 🖤

She’s been enjoying time outdoors, exploring the yard, and making a new friend to romp around with. It’s been so rewarding to watch her relax more each day and start showing us her fun, playful personality.

One of the biggest advantages of our boutique, low-capacity approach is that we have the time and ability to truly get to know each guest as an individual. 🐾

While group play can be a blast, not every dog wants to spend their entire vacation running with friends—and that’s okay. Some pups thrive in social settings, while others prefer a little more space, one-on-one attention, and time to simply relax.

At Cedar & Sunflowers, every guest enjoys their own spacious private suite with a doggy door leading to their own secure private yard. This unique setup allows us to easily adapt each dog’s day based on their individual needs, energy level, and comfort—because no two dogs are exactly alike.

Dogs are never left unsupervised with dogs outside their household, and we carefully monitor play sessions for signs of overstimulation, ensuring interactions remain safe, positive, and enjoyable for everyone involved.

And if your dog isn’t social with other dogs, that’s perfectly okay too. With our setup, there is no shortage of outdoor time, enrichment, or one-on-one attention. Aspen is the perfect mix of playful and laid back. She absolutely loves making new friends, romping around the yard, and enjoying playtime with her pals… but she’s equally happy finding a sunny spot to stretch out and soak in the relaxing vibes ☀️
