Hello my friends, I feel like it's been forever.

Let me start by saying thank you to everyone that is still here and still following along with my account.

For those that missed the news, our senior dog Ripley passed away very unexpectedly on December 27th from an unknown tumor that ruptured his spleen. My soul simply could no longer handle being present in this space after the back to back loss of all 3 of my dogs (Mayson 2022, Marley 2024) that shaped the entire career I built and loved. My heart was repeatedly shattered and trying to stay in an industry that sees more harm than good for dogs, I simply couldn't do it anymore. I could talk extensively of the healing I have been trying to do but honestly I am tired of speaking about loss and want to just let people know that I am trying new paths in life.

I no longer truly understand what I am doing or what my purpose is. I know it's dogs. I know it will always be dogs. But that hurts so much right now so I am just lost in the meantime until that part of me comes back which I know it will, and I can't wait to welcome that side of this journey of grief I am in.

I quit my job that I loved and has been my home for the last 4 years. I purchased an acre of land outside of town in a small new community with my husband, we moved and I am spending my summer doing nothing but enjoying my time with my little girl before she starts school this fall. I am doing nothing but being present, being slow and loving my space for the first time in a very long time.

Oh, I also impulsively bought ducks and we of course still have Steve. My life now consists of (still) blind dogs, ducks and dirty floors. A Homestead of high decibels and low visibility, if you will. Lol. More to come soon!

I'm not sure what direction I'll take this account but I hope you'll stay and please, never stop asking me for help with your dogs ❤️‍🩹🐾

And say welcome to the ducks - Cheese, Jelly, Noodle and Fernidad.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful start to the New Year!

We have had some big changes in our lives and I am thrilled to announce that we are moving! We will be relocating to a smaller community not far from where we have been for the last 5 years, but still somewhere brand new! I am more than ready for this new chapter of my life to begin. After so much loss I am looking forward to breathing in a new space and starting fresh while focusing on my little family.

I will be pausing private consultations for the months of February and March while we move and get settled. I will announce once I am accepting clients again and look forward to helping many more dogs this upcoming spring! 💙 *Current clients I will still be available to you during this time!

More and new services will be offered in the future as I complete my dream home and I can't wait 🥹🐕🏠

My sweet old boy Rip went to reunite with Marley and Mayson over the rainbow bridge today. This was not what I had pictured our Christmas to be like and I will be taking some time away from my professional socials to grieve another loss in my pack at the beginning of the new year 😔💔 I can't even begin to express the devastation I feel going from 4 dogs to 1 in only 3 years. I'm in disbelief that this happened again. I wasn't ready but I never would have been.

I love you, Chip Chip. You were and always will be the dog I dreamt of having always, my giant boy. I will miss you forever. It was an absolute privilege to have cared for you as you got older, and I don't regret a minute that we spent together when we adopted you 6 years ago, it was truly meant to be and we loved each other instantly. My life will be incredibly lonely without my big boy that followed me everywhere I went. I miss you already.

My sunshine Mayson,
My soul mate Marley
and now my shadow Ripley, all gone.
I feel like I can't breathe. 😔

Something to think about for my dog owner friends! I recently have been seeing ads for the Fi "Smart Collars" for dogs....they track GPS, health stats, can make alerts for health, emergencies and track daily patterns and abnormalities etc which all sound amazing.

However, as I caught myself browsing for my own Christmas present 🤫 I begin wondering what the long term effects of my dog having a "smart device" around their throat, directly over some major organs and body systems, might be?

My gut was right and I will NOT be ordering a smart collar for any of my dogs for Christmas this year. My needs may change in the future (and I'm also referring to the smart collars designed for round the clock usage and not trackers worn on a hike then removed).

"A dog smart collar is a tech-enabled device that attaches to your dog's collar to provide real-time data on their location, activity, and health, offering insights via a smartphone app for safety, wellness monitoring, and training reinforcement, much like a smartwatch for humans. They communicate using EMF (Electromagnetic Fields) Which refers to invisible energy waves from electrical devices, power lines, Wi-Fi, and cell phones, created by electric and magnetic forces.

Some studies indicate that certain animals exposed to high levels of EMFs experience behavioral changes, increased stress responses, and even physiological changes like increased body weight or metabolic changes. It is generally assumed that safety limits established for humans also protect the environment and animals; however, these limits often apply only where humans are regularly present, leaving wildlife in areas near strong transmitters potentially exposed to higher levels.

People will have varying opinions when it comes to EMF effects in animals, I would assume...but a quick trip to Google led me to numerous articles regarding how frequent EMF has negative effects on our dogs (and all species of the earth variety, really) including....

"A recent study looked at the potential health risks of radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (RF-EMF) on pets. Research focused on exposure from tracking devices, household electronics that emit signals (like Wi-Fi routers), and environmental sources such as cell towers. While researchers determined overall RF-EMF exposure levels for pets were below the safety limits set by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), they recommended reducing exposure. Especially in young or smaller pets whose bodies absorb more radiation, researchers advised pet owners to be cautious about exposure time and wireless device proximity for pets.

❌Potential Effects on Cellular Health
Recent animal studies suggest increased oxidative stress was caused by exposure to RF-EMF. Just like in humans, oxidative stress can disrupt normal cellular function in pets. Often generated by environmental stressors, oxidative stress contributes to increased ROS (reactive oxygen species) production, causing an imbalance that can lead to cell damage.

❌Link to Cancer Risk in Pets
While extensive research on EMF effects on humans is ongoing, studies on animals provide important insights. The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) has classified radiofrequency EMFs as "possibly carcinogenic to humans (Group 2B)," based partly on evidence from animal studies.

A case study was conducted to determine whether residential exposure to electromagnetic fields could increase the risk for canine lymphoma in pet dogs. This study found that dogs who lived in homes with higher EMF exposure had the highest risk with an odds ratio of 6.8, whereas dogs living in homes with lower exposure had an odds ratio of 1.5-1.9. This points to a potential link between EMF exposure and canine lymphoma, but more research is needed to further understand this connection.

❌Behavioral Changes
Over the years, research has shown that EMFs can interfere with normal animal behavior. Previous studies have shown that EMFs can interfere with some animals’ natural navigation abilities, such as birds who rely on the Earth’s magnetic field to help with migration. Observations of tracking dogs revealed they were unable to track beneath high-voltage power lines. Animal studies have also shown EMF exposure led to anxiety symptoms in certain mammals."

All of that being said I am fully aware that the smart collars on the market such as the Fi Smart Collar have followed all guidelines for this protection and have the same radiation risks as cellular phones or smart watches so at the end of the day, your dog and your decision.

‼️Please just consider that most (hopefully all Lol) people using devices such as cellphones or smart watches don't have them strapped directly over or right next to their thyroid 24/7 and that's where my concern is long term! 😬 (We are also not anywhere near as sensitive to these EMF waves as animals are!)

Just something to think about before you buy and put it on your dog to wear daily! 🐾

This sweet boy was suffering from reoccurring paw issues that caused pain when he walked and eventually got so bad he was developing cysts between his toes and he no longer wanted to go for walks.

His owner reached out and I am so happy to say that we got to this point with minimal changes and he's already feeling like a whole new boy!

We worked internally to heal his gut and build up his own natural immunity, ensured he was getting adequate omega 3 (EPA/DHA) added to his diet and did a homeopathic paw soak to help combat the yeast and bacteria that had taken over for so long causing the endless loop that many owners know all to well!

Picture one shows inflamed, irritated and infected paws in February 2025 and here are his feet today November 2025 feeling and looking much, much better ❤️‍🩹 (we did achieve these results within 6 weeks but I haven't seen him for a photo until today and am so happy with his ongoing success!)

Is your dog suffering similar issues and you are ready to end the loop of reoccurring symptoms? Book your call today! 🐾

Our favorite season has arrived!!! Although I do have to admit the beautiful fall season is truly still not as beautiful without my sweet golden boy - it used to be funny every year editing the photos of Mayson in the leaves because he blended right in 😂🍂💛 It's not the same but it feels less heavy welcoming it this year and that's a nice change (this is year 3 without him somehow).

Wishing everyone sheds all the stuff you're holding onto that weighs you down in this beautiful time of year and if your dog is struggling with health issues and you're ready get them in a healthier spot - let's chat! 🐶 [email protected]

This is a new service I am beginning to offer that is both very dear to my heart and also difficult to discuss. I have experienced extreme loss in the last 3 years with the passing of both my soul mate dogs that were the reason for what I do and that made me who I am. After navigating my own grief and loss, I truly believe the one good thing to come out of that is that I've found a new avenue that will make a difference for dogs in need and their humans that love them with everything they have.

I want part of my new path in life to be making sure every dog that crosses the rainbow bridge does so with dignity, respect and knowing they are loved, no matter how hard it feels for us.

Entering this stage of life with our beloved pets can feel emotionally impossible, overwhelming in the moment and often it is hard to think with clarity and understand all of your options when you are dealing with it all in the moment.

If you feel like it could be beneficial to have someone to advocate for you and your aging or palliative dog that is compassionate, understanding and will help you know all of your options in a low pressure setting to ensure your senior dog is as comfortable as possible and you feel confident in your decisions when it's time, please reach out to [email protected].

For Marley & Mayson,
the dogs i owe it all to ♡
