As a trainer, I always tell people: start early! 🐾
When your dog is still a puppy, ask your vet about stopping by for a friendly visit. No consultation—just a few treats, a positive experience, and back home. Help your puppy get comfortable before an appointment is needed.
The same goes for grooming. Don’t wait until your dog is fully grown to introduce the bathtub! Start young and build their confidence with gentle, positive experiences.
Today, Rico Suave has a grooming appointment with my longtime friend, Lynda Miller. Lynda and I go back 17–18 years, to when I first started training dogs. She’s someone I believe in, someone I trust, and someone I’m proud to call my friend.
If you’re looking for a groomer to help your puppy get comfortable with baths and grooming, contact me and I’ll put you in touch with Lynda.
