Some of you may have noticed only 5 of our 6 Eldin x Sheikah puppies made their way to new homes last week. That's because we decided to keep one lucky little girl (Prelude) here with us! We're very hopeful she will become a future mama (subject to passing her health tests) and keep Sheikah's wonderful genes alive and well within the program.

Named after the reincarnation of Princess Zelda from The Windwaker, join me in welcoming our sassy little pirate queen, Tetra 💕🦊✨

Our Classical Music litter pups turned 8 weeks old on Friday and met their new "people" over the weekend 🥹 it could not have been more love at first sight for these families! These sweet pups will be missed, but they all have the perfect new homes 💕

7 weeks old! How is it that these babies are meeting their new families next week?! Time sure flies when these littles are growing 💕

The past week has been full of outdoor adventures, new sights, smells and sounds, and meeting new people. The socialization curriculum continues, and the pups will be taking their first car ride and meeting the veterinarian in less than a week! The final week is always a full one, but I am lapping up seeing all the individual personalities while I can 🎶✨🦊

6 weeks old and all the ears have made their appearance! 🦊✨💕

It's hard to believe it's just two weeks until go-home time for these babies! This week has brought more exposure activities, from dropping loud items (doubles as a startle recovery test to which they all did well!), roaming the living room, more TV fireworks and other sounds, and even a view of the horses through their outdoor pen panels! Daily handling continues and all these pups have learned to love human interactions. So far I'm very impressed with the temperaments that Sheikah and Eldin have passed on 😍

5 weeks (plus a day) ✨🦊🎶

(All pups are spoken for 💕)

The pups are now in the thick of the first week of socializing activities! They have now gotten used to the sounds of kids playing, thunderstorms, fireworks, and more played at a low-to-medium volume on the TV above their pen. They have also been getting used to the sound (and movements) of blenders, vacuums, Roombas, and other dogs playing. Daily handling continues, and at this stage all of them are very used to being touched all over. Finally, this morning they got their first dose of outdoor time which naturally brought a whole new layer of exposure activities! They are handling it all in stride and I'm very impressed with these pups 🙏💕

4 weeks old 🎶💕🎉

Lots of new introductions for the pups this week! We started weaning onto solid food, and moved to a pen closer to the main living space, along with beginning exposure to regular household sounds such as the vacuum, blender, and music! They have also started exposure to a new novelty item each day, such as the cat tunnel and hanging toys 😍 touch training continues, and has expanded to handling their ears, noses, paws, tails, inside their mouths, and gentle touch while they are eating!

3 weeks old for our Classical Music litter 🦊😍🎶

The pups are finally starting to shape into "real puppies"! The babies are starting to play, make noise, and walk on all fours. Little bits of personality are starting to emerge and a more formal socializing curriculum will start very soon!

2 weeks old 😍🦊🎶

ENS and ESI will be wrapping up in just a couple of days! The puppies are growing fast and will enter their transition phase soon, at which time we will start to slowly expose them to more creative socializing activities. A pen upgrade will also come soon as they are close to escaping the whelping box! Mama is doing a great job with them and has recovered well too 💕

Eldin on his first paddleboard adventure 🌊🏄‍♀️

After quickly discovering water does not offer a solid surface to jump on (and getting a little wet!), Eldin settled right in on the board with me. He's got such an enjoyable balance of softness and confidence in his temperament. I'm very proud of him!
