Thank you Dad for being my official hitching post and chauffeur to all the shows, clinics, camps. I wouldn't be where I am today without you. I treasure our last few rides together.

For those of you that knew my Dad, here are the details for his Celebration of Life:

When: Saturday, September 26th, 2026, 12:00 pm
Where: 1254 Yellowhead Hwy 5 S, Clearwater, BC (Judy Lestander’s property)

Details:
- Potluck dinner (please message Rikki or I with what you're bringing so we can make sure we don’t have 30 caesar salads!)
- Bring your camp chairs, propane fire pits, crib boards and quarters.
- We would love for everyone to sit around the fires, share food and stories and we plan to have a crib tournament! Dad loved to play crib and always had to bet a quarter (even if he lent you one).
- There will be dry camping available on Judy’s property for anyone who wants or needs to stay the night.

Thank you to all who shared my post for boarding spaces coming available Oct 1st. And all it was was a video with no info. I guess when you add video to a post, it creates a reel and only shows the reel and not the rest of the post. SO I separated the photos and video and here is the video of the video of the ‘easy keeper’ horses coming around their track for water. Full board includes hay, minerals, barefoot trims, daily checks and video/picture updates for those out of town. For those close to us… you can just show up and enjoy your horse. Round pen and trails to ride right from the property.

2 spaces available for FULL board in Pritchard, BC, October 1st. Two track systems (one for easy keepers and one for harder keepers) with small herds of 4-6 horses and a miniature/pony herd. Barefoot trims, deworming, free-choice loose minerals, feeding of supplements, blanketing, holding for equine professionals (vet, bodywork etc), 24/7 hay/forage - all included in the price of board. Farrier lives on site (rehab and problem cases welcome!) and horses can be seen from the house. Round pen and lots of trail riding from property. No arena, but a large field that we use as one. Horses are checked on/over daily and cared for as our own. Regular video and picture updates for those who live out of town. Those who live close, everything is taken care of so you can just show up and enjoy your horse. $500 per month (plus GST).

For sale. 2 year old grade mare. Was adopted as feral from the 100 mile area with the purpose of gentling her and rehoming her. Gentle and sweet and ready to start with her forever human. Must go to someone with experience or who will send her for professional training to set her up for a successful life. Beautiful movement, solid and sturdy build with good feet. Approximately 15hh and will grow more. Located in Clearwater. Asking $2000. All monies go back into a rescue fund to help and re-home others like her.

Nadiyah’s first ride! Such a sweet mare that we adopted through Freedom's Gate Equine Rescue Society as completely feral last year. We’ve done very little in the sense of any formal training, just hanging out with her, keeping her healthy while she raised her two c**ts (she came with a c**t at her side and then gave us a surprise baby this spring!). Once Kash sold (the last horse I had here for consignment sale), I was ready to be full steam ahead with her training… then smoke… so much smoke😫. So she’s had an intermittent 7 ground sessions in the last month (she had actually never even been taken out of her paddock before this🙈), then Elexa took her out the last two days as I felt she was ready to get on but didn’t have the time this last two days (and I didn’t want to waste these smoke free days!) and she was a champ! Can’t wait to saddle her up and hit the trails soon!

She will be available for sale this fall once her c**t is weaned.

How is this guy not sold yet!? We had so much fun today on our first (for both of us!) cross country course. This is only our 7th time really going over jumps of any sort and he’s just so willing and eager to please -whatever you ask of him. New place, hauled with new horses, new jumps and he did great! Huge thanks to Cristina Rennie, Shamrock Wellness Services & Shamrock Equestrian for pushing us out of our comfort zone. And huge thanks to Creek Equestrian for the use of your beautiful course!
