Although he doesn't have papers (sires papers attached), we own the mare - who is one of our favorite mares - as well as the stud who has since passed and has produced some amazing talent in the roping pen. He's a young and athletic prospect with a solid foundation who has been easy to deal with since day one. He's been down every trail & started roping the dummy. Looking for your next family member? Currently a main mount here at Leaning Tree Trail Rides taking everyone from adults to kids safely down our trails. He is a smooth mover, easy keeper (as you can tell by his shape - he’s a shape). He’s as quiet as they come, easy to handle. Play in the arena, head down the trails, let the kids ride him, let your grandma ride him. He spent last winter in Arizona being started heeling off of with Grady Quam. Travels, loads, bathes, great with his feet - all around just easy to deal with. Same horse if he is left for a week or a month. This guy is young and ready for his new family!

Mindy (MIDNIGHT MESA) finally dropped the foal we’ve been waiting for - and despite not being a filly … what a HANDSOME c**t she had from SB GUNNABLITZYA. We had a rough 12 hours getting this little man to latch, but he got his first milk via bottle and once that got into his system, the brain power kicked in! Momma Mindy is loving her first baby and doing a great job at it and the rest of the gang around here has given the duo a warm welcome - chickens included.

On her 25th year, the same year her first gelding Major (who we still have), turned 20 .. Tara gave us her last filly. Linda called and told me that she got her last filly but that 8% chance of a sorrel happened and that she wanted a bay lol. I asked her what the heck was I going to do about that problem ;) She's healthy, she's beautiful and she's the very last baby to come from this SPECTACULAR mare HAWKEYES TARA (I mean, take a look at this girl .. supermodel).

Baby #1 showed up yesterday from our sweet mare Jesse and our stud Bandit (CMOS TYD TRU N ZIP). She’s our only grade mare, but as an outstanding mare in every capacity from temperament to athleticism that she handed down to her first c**t that we still have and ride - it was a no brainer to breed her to Bandit. He’s here, and he’s just perfect.

Macy + Taya have joined the Athabasca Gymkhana this winter with their two ponies, Ginger & Pepper who we have had since they were born! Ginger will be 29 this year (!!), Pepper will be 19 .. and boy did those two have some pep in their step last night! So fun watching these girls and their two favorite horses
