Groundswell Community Passive Solar Greenhouse and Gardens is located in Invermere, BC. We are open year round, with our main focus being Spring thru Fall with “as Nature intended” all natural market garden veggies, herbs and fruits. We are focused on developing composting research and production, Living Soil initiatives and regenerative/permaculture practices. We offer hands on courses, workshops

and events for our members, general public, schools and community organizations. We are dedicated to bringing education, skills and healthy growing practices and food to the communities of the Columbia Valley.

Only 5 garden beds left!
Garden bed rentals are good for you and the community!
Gardening is good for your health (a light workout, get to meet others, eat some great homegrown produce).
But renting from Groundswell also puts funding right back into your community. We use these fees to offer programs like garden bed rentals, workshops for school kids and events for the community.

In May we hosted a FREE container gardening workshop for seniors in partnership with CBAL, Family Dynamix and Groundswell and sponsored by .
There were three different workshops with topics such as microgreens & sprouts; container-planting veggies, herbs & flowers; and valley food conversation.
Thanks to our friends at the Columbia Valley Food Bank for joining our food conversation.
And to our participants- thanks for joining! We love hosting workshops at our greenhouse.

Attention all plant lovers!
We are having a sale on our plants while supplies last- plants are half price!!! All these plant babies need a new home.
Tomato varieties looking for homes include: San Marzanos, Early Girl, Brandywine, Sakura, Sweet Millions, Yellow Pear, Manitoba and Red Alert.
We also have herbs available- oregano and basil.
All the plants are in excellent shape (some even have baby tomatoes on them already) and just need a spot in your garden!
This weather is great transplanting weather- if you would like transplanting tips we are happy to share our wisdom!

Ok, we brag all the time about how green it is in the greenhouse but I promise there are other colours in there too!
Red coleuses, purple basil, ruby red and golden marigolds.
We're more than just some pretty greenery!
If you'd like to see the colours for yourself, we are open 9-4 Monday-Friday and Saturday mornings.

What do San Marzanos and Pink Brandywines have in common?
Both pack some flavour and can compliment your tomato collection.
San Marzanos make excellent sauces (for pizza or pasta) and Pink Brandywines can be served sliced fresh with burrata and basil (dribble some olive oil and balsamic glaze over them).
We are open this morning and Monday-Friday 9-4. Come admire the tomatoes or pick one up to take home with you.

A spectacular spring for our clematis and lots of produce growing in the greenhouse!
The growing season is here for Groundswell and we are open today 9-4 to share our work with you! Come for a visit, pick up a plant buddy or peruse our produce (produce will be available this afternoon and Saturday morning after we harvest it).
We are also open Saturday morning. Bring your morning coffee with you and tour the gardens!
