Buttermilk is a sweet hound mix who has made incredible progress since coming into our care. While she started out as a very nervous girl, her personality has blossomed as she's gained confidence and learned that people can be kind. These days, she's much more willing to explore the world around her and enjoys spending time with the people she trusts.

Because Buttermilk takes comfort in the company of other dogs, she is looking for a home with a confident canine companion. Having another dog around helps her feel safe and gives her someone to look to when she's unsure about new situations.

As she transitions into a home environment, Buttermilk will need a patient family willing to help her learn the ropes. She'll benefit from continued work on basic training, house manners, and adjusting to the sights, sounds, and routines of everyday life. With consistency, positive reinforcement, and plenty of encouragement, she continues to show just how much she's capable of learning.

Nutmeg is a social butterfly with a big personality. This sweet girl loves people and will happily soak up all the attention you can give her, especially if it includes being held and cuddled. She’s the kind of cat who wants to be part of the action and close to her humans whenever possible.
When she’s not snuggling, Nutmeg is busy showing off her playful side. She loves chasing toys, pouncing on anything that moves, and turning playtime into her own little adventure.
Nutmeg gets along well with other cats, though she definitely likes to be the boss of the group. She would do best with feline friends who don’t mind letting her take charge now and then.
