Sustainable apparel, inspired by our four-legged family members! It wasn't until she was home that I thought, 'I can do that!'. Please help a dog-dad out!

Having waited several years for the timing to be right, in May 2020 I finally paid my deposit on a Miniature Dachshund puppy, at just a day old. Darcy came home eight long weeks later, and we've loved every minute since (she hasn't eaten anything valuable or deadly yet). I spent my puppy-prep time searching for small businesses I could support, and quickly acquired an affordable, high quality ward

robe for our new arrival. Since then, I have purchased a sewing machine and learnt to use it, experimented with a variety of patterns, techniques and fabrics, and was proud to launch Discovered by Darcy with a strong introductory range. Since our October 4th launch we have grown significantly, and continue to release unique and fun designs for you and your pup to enjoy! Late in October, we welcomed home our second puppy, Ember. She is a keen, cheeky assistant, carefully managing our quality control department and finally joining Darcy in the spotlight, taking part in her first campaign with the release of our Valentines 2021 collection. We are very excited to be integrating more of our baby girl into the DBD feed! Our products are handmade to order with you and your pup in mind; we consider appearance, longevity and safety in our manufacturing, and meticulous attention to detail throughout. We hope you'll stick around for our journey - we have so much planned! We frequently add new products to our permanent collection, as well as a host of holiday collections with unique fabrics to mark the occasion. After all, our pups are family, and it's only right they be part of the celebration! In short, we'd love if you'd consider us for your bandana needs. This business has been a labour of love, and the girls really like lamb treats (the expensive kind!).

I have a challenge for you... 👀

These three portraits all started with a single photograph 📸 Each one ended up becoming thousands of tiny pencil strokes, carefully building every highlight and each little detail that makes each pet unmistakably them 🥰

But before you swipe...

POV: You planned a cute family photo… and the dogs had completely different ideas 😵‍💫

Somehow the best photos are never the perfectly posed ones.

One dog is looking at the camera. One is investigating absolutely everything. And we’re just trying to keep everyone in roughly the same place for five seconds 😮‍💨

Wouldn’t have it any other way 🧡

The thing I love most about drawing pets isn't creating artwork - it's preserving memories 😌

🐶 Their majestic ears blowing in the breeze on your wedding day.
🐱 Their little grey chin that you've noticed gradually getting bigger as the years go by.
🐴 Sometimes it's a beloved friend who's no longer here, but whose family simply wants to see those familiar eyes looking back at them once more.

Monday nights are for dogs, chats... and whatever else you lot decide! 🐾

After your votes, our next weekly live is happening this Monday at 7pm 📅

Rather than following a strict schedule, these evenings are all about spending time together. Whether you fancy seeing products up close, chatting about upcoming launches, asking questions, watching me draw, or simply catching up with fellow dog people over a cuppa, I'm here for it 🙌🏻

If portrait orders come in before or during the live, I'll be hoping to get started on some of them during the stream (although I can't promise completed illustrations on the drawing board that evening!) 🧡
