One of the hardest parts of this situation is knowing that plans we worked so hard toward must now change. The funds raised through our recent yard sale were originally intended to help us install a much-needed new door for the rescue. However, given the circumstances, those funds will now be used to help cover the large outstanding balance at the veterinary clinic.
Every dollar raised was given with love and support for the animals, and I believe the best way to honor that generosity is to ensure their care is fully provided for. While it is difficult to let go of projects we had hoped to complete, the health and well-being of the animals will always come first.
To everyone who donated, volunteered, shopped, and supported the yard sale, please know that your kindness is making a real difference. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping us continue to provide the care these animals deserve during this incredibly challenging time. ❤️

It has been a challenging week, with a great deal to process. I have recently been diagnosed with heart failure, and my medical team is currently developing a treatment plan to support my recovery.
Unfortunately, this journey will be a long and difficult one. After much thought and consideration, I have made the heartbreaking decision to transfer the adoptable guinea pigs into the care of our veterinarian so they can continue to receive the attention and support they deserve.
While I hope that one day I may be able to return to rescue work, my focus right now must be on my health and recovery. I have to recognize my current limitations and give myself the time and care needed to heal.
I am incredibly grateful for the support, kindness, and understanding of everyone who has helped make this rescue possible. Thank you for your patience and compassion during this difficult time.

It is with a heavy heart that I share that I have recently been hospitalized due to health concerns. At this time, I do not know what the future holds for the rescue, as my health must be my primary focus.
Effective immediately, I am no longer able to accept new guinea pigs into the rescue. This is an incredibly difficult decision, but I need to ensure I have the time and energy to focus on my recovery.
As things currently stand, the future of the rescue remains uncertain. I will provide updates as I learn more about my health and what may be possible moving forward.
Thank you for your understanding, support, and kindness during this challenging time. It means more than words can express.
I hope to be able to share more information with you soon. ❤️🐹

Unfortunately, due to the increasing costs associated with caring for surrendered animals, we will now be charging a $25 surrender fee per guinea for any new surrenders received from individuals who are not currently on our wait list.
This fee helps cover intake, food, housing, and veterinary care for the animals coming into our rescue.
We appreciate everyone’s understanding and continued support as we work to provide the best possible care for the animals in our rescue. Please message the page if you have any questions.

Big thank you to Erica Currie-Fraser for your generous donation of itiems off our Amazon wish list.

Thank you to everyone who has dropped off bottles. Saturday we collected 288$ that went directly onto our vet account... bottle drive is an ongoing thing and an easy way to help if you would choose to. We have an account at the riverview bottle exchange. No need to count your bottles just drop off and tell them its for the rescue they will count and add it to the account.

Also reminder still collecting gently used itiems for our yardsale.

Pick up can be arranged for bottles along with donations for yardsale or drop off is also possible.

Thank you all for making it easier to do what i can for these guys.
