Do not punish a growl. Dogs are sharing how they feel. We want to change how they feel about what they are growling about it not suppress the behavior. This is one of the many reasons you should not use aversive training such as choke chains, prong collars, slip leads, or e collars.

We have a round of Polite pups starting Sep. 8th at 6:35pm
This course is 6 weeks. The first Class (Sep. 8th) will be people only. There is a lot of information we go over. Like how our dogs learn, differnt stages, dog communication and more.

In class we learn all those important foundations.
•sits / downs
• Stay
• Recalls
• place (or bed)
• loose leash walking
And so much more!
They also get lots of opportunities to work on that very important socialization !

Pawsitive Pups family!

We hope everyone is enjoying there summer and that we get a long one! That being said, back to school is fast approaching and with that more dogs returning to daycare. This means spots are going to fill up faster. This week we were at capacity 2 of the 5 days! We strongly recommend weekly reoccurrings (we can add it in for you, just let us know what day(s) your dog will be attending), or prebooking in advance. There will be no guarantee a spot will be available with last minute bookings (night before or morning of).

It was a busy, fun filled Monday starting a new activity with the dogs.

We do a different activity every week. Recently we had our own barrel race, played with bubbles, practiced recalls, working on impulse control and door manners, and have more fun planned for muzzle awareness month and back to school!

This week we are starting everything about kids! A skill that can help our dogs feel more comfortable around children, who are alien creatures 😉 who move quickly and unpredictably at times which can be difficult for dogs especially if they have not met any. We will be working with some dolls getting our dogs use to "little humans", sitting nicely, not jumping at kids in arms and of course the sounds of children.

In these pictures everyone is at a different point of training, some we are pairing the food with seeing the small human to build confidence, others, we are teaching to not jump up on her. Then switching to her our arms and not jumping up on us to see her.



Also we love children at Pawsitive Pups 🐶 and they are not alien to us humans 🥰 we love teaching them and helping them learn about dogs as well.

We have some big things starting!

Polite pups- starting Sep.1st @ 6:35pm
This class is for our puppies 6 months and under. This class is a 6 week course for $262.50. In this class they will learn their foundations like sits/downs, stay, loose leash walking, recalls and more! They will get a chance to work on some socialization as well with other dogs, people, surfaces and sounds to help build up their confidence.

Beginners- starting Aug 19 @ 6:35pm
This class is for our dogs that are over 6 months. This class is 6 weeks for $262.50.
They will learn their foundations like sits/down, stay, recall, loose leash walking and more.
