Working with my dog Spike to teach him the focus heel. I’m still working on building a good foundation for the heel before we progress to the actual heeling. When teaching a command the more time you spend on the foundation the easier it is to progress and it should be a better product in the end..

Cooper and his owner are taking private training lessons with me and are making good progress. Cooper is with me for a short 5 day board and train while his owners are out of town. Here’s a clip of a training session from this afternoon. My goal was to get him more motivated to work for his food. I’m happy with the progress we made.

Oliver has come a long way in 5 short weeks of training. He is now reliable off leash and enjoying his freedom. We had a good 5 weeks together but I’m sure he will be happy to reunite with his owner this afternoon!!

Here’s a training session with Oliver after 14 days. We worked on loose leash walking, sit, down, heel entry and place command. His motivation to work for his food is increasing and he’s now looking forward to the training session. Tomorrow we will start to condition the e-collar and work on recalls.
