✨Available for your consideration✨
Sandro Khiss DSC “Hugo”
2023 Arabian Warmblood black gelding
Sire is Arabian multinational and regional champion sport horse Khiss My Mojo+ (MF Own The Night++++// /HS Kolors Khemorada+++/) out of Canadian WB mare (Sandro Hit/Donnerhall)
Currently standing 15.2h and growing

Hugo is a kind hearted gelding with lots of genuine try and willingness to please. Very well handled and polite (I was easily able to handle him 9 months pregnant and postpartum). He chooses to be lower in the pecking order and currently does very well living with 2 young stallions. He has a naturally friendly and curious nature.

Hugo hates to make mistakes and will do lots of self correcting with minor pressure or recognition that something didn’t feel right. He notices pressure releases and learns well with positive reinforcement. Because he doesn’t like to make mistakes he is best suited for a rider/owner who will stay soft when correcting him and allow him to explore answers.

He is currently unstarted and hasn’t worn any tack yet, he is used to blankets and such, can be in a stall but he lives outside 24/7. Good for the vet and farrier. Has a small amount of trailer experience. He did have a soft tissue injury over a year ago which I will be happy to disclose and give more info on. He has been properly and intentionally rehabbed and has remained sound with no concerns from the vet about being a performance horse.

He has 3 clear and correct gaits, natural and smooth flying changes and has an amateur friendly disposition but is also fancy enough for a pro. He is not a spooky or reactive horse and is quite laid back.

Willing to help assist with setting up reputable transport, PPE (with vets specializing in equine sports medicine and lamness) as well as any paperwork for boarder crossing. Also willing to set up a video call for those interested who may not be able to come in person to view.

I’ve officially put myself on maternity leave 🎀 but honestly we’re just going to see what that looks like when I still have a breeding program at home!

Mobile and haul in lessons will continue as I feel ready- I will reach back out to clients when I feel I have the capacity to start picking up a bit of work here and there. I’m not disappearing, I’m just taking a break ❤️ Current clients: I will show up as I feel able to until the big day arrives!

Although this year I have been quietly enjoying my horses, it has still been very intentional and some big changes we have coming in 2027 may also impact my availability (we will announce when we are ready) I will fit my clients in as I can as well as accept new clients, so please don’t hesitate to reach out!

We are officially ready to welcome our little girl and I am so grateful to everyone who has been showing up and helping out! Also would like to thank my horses in advance for not thinking of stupid things to do while I try to enjoy some slowness 🙃

THIS 📣🙌

If they can’t walk and steer, they can’t trot and steer.
If they can’t balance at the trot, they aren’t ready to canter.
If they can’t go catch their own horse, groom it, tack it up and take responsibility for it, how are they supposed to lead that horse from the saddle?

Going faster does not equal getting better. Strapping your kid to a horse and sending them into the arena isn’t making them better, it’s setting them up to get hurt.

You might think watching your kid walk circles isn’t exciting. You might think they should be cantering, jumping “doing more.”

But sometimes they’re simply not ready.

And respectfully — that’s why you hired an instructor. Because knowing how and when to progress a rider is our job.

We aren’t holding your kid back. We’re building the foundation that keeps them safe and makes them GOOD.

From where it all started…

I guess I’ve always had a thing for black horses! Three different mounts that have taught me many lessons and three different versions of me that were pushed by them.

The little girl was so tickled to just have a pony in her yard and toodle around on. She didn’t need fancy sparkly things (or even the necessities like a saddle pad apparently 😂) the presence of her pony was good enough. Jack was the best birthday present I could have asked for.

The teenager/20 year old needed some lessons on accountability and patience. Tia always had a way of reminding me when things were my fault (they usually were) and not to let the pressure of goals and success take away the fun of the sport. She gave me a taste of the biggest stage and highest pressure competition yet also teaching me it isn’t about the money, it’s about the talent and work ethic you put in- turning a $300 horse into a World Champion Top 10 wasn’t merely an accomplishment but a lesson and perspective on life.

The current version is a work in progress I guess. But over the last 5 years of our partnership, Mojo has been a constant reminder that control is just an illusion, trust doesn’t have to be scary and your partnership always comes first. Stallions have a special way to them. But considering the horse he was when I picked him up years ago I’d like to think maybe I was able to show him the same lessons. As personal life changes a lot this year, I know the bond we have will remain and even just pampering his spoiled butt brings me joy (thank god little me in the first picture learned the simple joys of horse ownership early in life). We’ll get back to the big ring soon, until then we we will enjoy a quieter version of our relationship and that’s ok!

Just a reminder that horses have a way of bringing out what lies beneath the surface, if you allow them.

⭐️A great opportunity for the right rider⭐️

If you are a
-youth/teen rider who is confident and competent
-looking for your own mount without the obligation of owning or purchasing
-have extra time this summer
-have the ability to either board or care for a horse

Then I have a great summer opportunity for you that can continue longer if desired.

I will be asking for references to be provided from people in the equine community and will ensure this is a good match for both horse and rider. However if something works for this to happen then a contract for all parties will be made and this will be a legitimate agreement.

Essentially this is an off site care lease where you would keep this horse at your property or board him at an approved facility. We could also chat about options for boarding for you at our facility.

Please be prepared to send:
-riding video of the rider
-riding experience and level of horse knowledge (including care, first aid and health management)
-why you would value this opportunity
-your location

Horse is located in Headingley, MB and I am happy to send more info on the horse to those interested as well as details that would be expected.

If you are under 18 please have your parent reach out on your behalf.

Motivated to sell as I would appreciate him off my bill

MV Cygn Of Flame “Flame”
2019 registered Arabian gelding

Flame is a very social and friendly horse. He’ll be your best friend and is always happy to greet you at the gate and be caught. He loves attention and loves to work and please. His work ethic makes him super trainable and helps him progress in whatever he’s doing.

He was started as a 6yo in the fall and due to no fault of his own has been sitting after he had about 10 rides put on. While he was backed and started, Flame offered no bucking, bolting or rearing. He handled the process super well and was eager to please. He is a forward mover but he is naturally well responsive to the brakes. He handled being started so well that he would pick it back up great and could even be a project for a competent and confident youth/teenager (As he stands 14.1 h) who has clear communication. Or he would also make a great horse for an ammy to work with him or in a program. With time and training he would make a great beginner horse.

Up to date on farrier, dental, 6way and worming. Stands and cooperates for vet and farrier. Bathes, clips, loads, ties, lunges, fine with spray bottles (has done long hauls and handled them great). Doesn’t mind being in a stall, lives outside 24/7 with mares and geldings. Good feet and goes barefoot- has always been sound. He holds weight great, would consider him an easy keeper you don’t need to diet. Exposed and fine with sheep, calves, chickens, cats, dogs, kids and machinery. Only extra maintenance is heat require an extra dental exam if needed as he had an adult molar pulled (I do have post extraction X-ray’s available to show all is cleared up- willing to share). He has an old scar on his upper left fore leg (happy to provide picture of) it has never affected him and does not hinder him- the cut was no major and was very surface level, I just want the buyer to be aware it is there.

Flame has always been sound and happy go lucky- he would make a lovely little English horse (large pony) or I’m sure he would have a blast with the ghymkana stuff. He would also be down to hit the trail!

I was going to keep him as a future school horse (large pony) prior to deciding to close my school horse program. I am also pregnant and would like to make the feed bill smaller before I am on a break!
