Elite Equestrian English Riding Academy-certified coaching & safe horses that cater to competitive and pleasure riding

Lesson packages and programs are built around each rider's
individual needs. A combination of theory and practical lessons
will develop the student's understanding and execution of the
classical riding system. Semi-private lessons can be arranged
if the riders so wish. Lessons are as important for the advanced
rider as they are for the beginner rider. The focus of the lesson
program is to learn and be taught in a positive frame of mind. This not only produces the best results for the rider, but the horse
as well. Training packages include intense programs for green
or problem horses and lighter packages for the more advanced
horse. Training programs are tailored to fit each individual horse. The training system is geared to maximize the potential for your
horse, but also to make sure he is enjoying his training.

🍂🐴 And just like that, our 9th Annual Thanksgiving Trail Ride has come to an end!

This event has grown into such a special tradition and a wonderful way to close out another year at Elite. ❤️

I’m forever grateful for our Elite community, but especially in this season of life, I find myself appreciating them more than ever. Returning to work less than two weeks after welcoming Reid via C-section was no small feat, and learning to balance motherhood with my responsibilities as a coach has definitely been an adjustment! Through it all, our amazing community has shown me so much grace, patience, and support. They’ve helped make it all possible, and I truly couldn’t do it without them. 🥹❤️

While I’ll be sad to say goodbye to our Thanksgiving trail rides at this location, I’m so excited to carry on this tradition at our new home! Here’s to many more years of beautiful fall rides, great company, and making memories with our incredible Elite family. 🍁

🍂🐴 What a fantastic day at Kingsbrae Gardens’ Fall Festival! 🍁

We brought our three trusty steeds — BigBoy, Coodo, and Jasper — along for a day of pony rides, and the boys were absolute rockstars! ❤️ They were exceptionally well-behaved and made so many people smile!

A huge thank you to Kingsbrae Gardens for having us! And a MASSIVE thank you to our three amazing handlers who put on an impressive 18,000 steps today! We truly couldn’t have done it without you. 🥰 Of course, a big thank you to my forever-supportive hubby for coming along and expertly manoeuvring the trailer through some pretty tight spaces! 😂❤️

We had such a blast meeting everyone today, and we hope to see some new faces out for lessons and trail rides soon!

Tomorrow is our 9th Annual Thanksgiving Trail Ride, and the weather is looking fantastic! 🍂☀️ We have so much to be thankful for, and we’re feeling especially grateful for our amazing horses, our incredible team, and all the wonderful people who support Elite Equestrian!

Last year, I started something new at the end of summer — dedicating a whole month to trying something different with our riders! 🐴

Our riders put SO much work into the spring, summer and fall preparing for shows, clinics, rider levels and everything in between, so I wanted to give them a chance to switch gears, have some fun, and learn something completely different.

Last year, we spent the month playing Western games 🤠 — and it was so popular that it was highly requested again this year! Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough Western saddles to make that happen, so I decided to switch things up and introduce TRAINERS MONTH! 🐴✨

For the entire month, each rider is assigned a completely new training prospect. Some are unbroke babies, some are green broke, some are seasoned horses who are being brought back into the swing of things, and some are just horses with a specific skill that needs a little extra work.

The best part? Every horse-and-rider combination is new.

Each pair has to come up with two goals they want to accomplish with their training prospect by the end of the month. From there, we work together to figure out how to get there!

Depending on the horse and the goals, riders might be working on:
🐴 Lunging
🐴 Long-lining
🐴 Groundwork
🐴 Liberty work
🐴 Backing and starting young horses
🐴 Specific mounted issues
🐴 Building confidence and communication
🐴 And everything in between!

It’s such a fun opportunity for our riders to learn how to train the horse in front of them, rather than simply riding a horse they already know.

And of course, we have a few special guest training prospects joining us too! 😉

It’s been a busy season here at Elite, and we’re so grateful for all of our amazing clients and horses! ❤️

🐴✨ A HUGE shoutout to Hampton Riding Centre for providing the best testing atmosphere! ✨🐴

And an even BIGGER congratulations to our two Rider Level 4 graduates!! 🎉👏

These two riders have spent an entire year committed to improving their horsemanship and working toward this goal. They increased their lessons to twice a week, dedicated countless hours to stable management, and put in the time studying their theory — all while continuing to develop their horses.

Their dedication, consistency, and willingness to put in the work are exactly what this sport is all about. Hard work pays off! 💪🐎

I genuinely could not be more proud of these two riders. Watching them grow over the past year has been such a privilege, and they should be incredibly proud of what they’ve accomplished.

Not every rider dreams of entering the show ring—and that’s more than okay! 🩷🐴

For this pair, the goal has always been to feel confident and comfortable riding around their fields and out on the trails. Today was a HUGE step toward checking that goal off the list as they ventured outside the field for the very first time and made their way down to the water! 🌿💦

And then there’s Willow! 🥰

Willow spent some time with us here at the barn, but quickly made it clear that the lesson horse life just wasn’t for her. And you know what? That’s okay too! Not every horse is meant for every job.

Now, in her forever home with Melanie, Willow is a completely different horse. Watching them find their groove together and seeing Willow thrive in a situation that suits her is exactly what we love about this sport. ❤️

Sometimes success isn’t a ribbon—sometimes it’s simply feeling confident enough to ride somewhere you couldn’t before. And those milestones deserve to be celebrated just as much! 🐴✨

There are always highs and lows when teaching—frustrating moments for both rider and coach as we work toward mastering a new skill. But tonight was a BIG high! 🙌

Every rider showed up and rode at the top of their abilities, and a few brand-new skills were conquered along the way! 👏🐴

Cheers to the riders who listen to feedback, keep showing up, put in the effort, and are truly coachable. You guys make my job all the more fun! ❤️
