I know a TON of you have messaged me over the last little while wanting appointments… unfortunately my inbox currently consists of grooming, hockey, rodeo, horses, kids and approximately 927 other conversations. 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

So instead of spending the next century scrolling back trying to find everyone who has asked for an appointment or I no some have home groomed or taken else where so, I’m putting my schedule up and asking you to PLEASE message me again! I’m so sorry

For right now, I’m sorry but I’m not accepting any new clients until I can get caught up with all my existing furry friends. 💜

Also, for the time being I’m not able to take on my large hairy jobs, heavily matted dogs, or some of my extra-wiggly friends by myself while I ease back into things. (Just ask if unsure if this is your day )

✨ OCTOBER 7 — NADJA IS COMING TO TOWN TO HELP DAY! ✨

Nadja who taught me so much over the years who has been checking in on me through all this has offered her support to come help me tackle the dogs that need some extra time, extra hands, or simply believe standing still for a haircut is an unreasonable request. 😂🐶✂️

So if I’ve mentioned before that your dog takes me quite a bit of time, could use another set of hands, is VERY wiggly, or you have one of my big hairy/matted friends — October 7th is your day! 🙌🏼💜

I’ll get more details and times out for that day soon! But message me to get on that day.

⚠️ ONE MORE IMPORTANT BOOKING PSA!

Please DO NOT assume a spot is yours just because you requested it. I may have multiple people asking for the same appointment while I’m away from my phone.

Your appointment is officially yours once I personally confirm it AND you receive the confirmation text through my booking app. 📲🐾

I’m trying my best to get everyone in as quickly as I can, but I also don’t want to go from 0 to 100, completely overdo it and end up out of commission again. Apparently this whole pacing myself thing is something I’m supposed to learn. 🙄😂

There may be more days added as I go, but until I know riding lesson dates, horse therapy dates and medical appointments, I need to keep myself a little wiggle room.

✨ EXCITING NEWS! ✨

After what feels like forever, I’m finally happy to say I’ll be coming back to work in September! 💜🐾

Starting after the September long weekend, I’ll be easing back into things and grooming 2-3 days a week.

First, I have to get my son packed up, moved away and settled in for hockey and school 🏒🥹 Once I get him where he needs to be (and this mom survives that part 😂), I’ll sit down, get my schedule organized and post my available grooming days! Please be patient with me I know there is a lot of people wanting in so I will have longer wait times to get in and hope to catch up as quickly as possibly

I’m really looking forward to getting back into the shop, seeing all my furry clients again and getting a little bit of normal back. 🐶✂️💜

Thank you SO much to everyone who has been patient and understanding while I’ve been away. It truly means more than you know.

🐾 Hey Mutts & Manes crew… yes, I’m still alive 😂💜

Sorry I’ve been pretty MIA lately. Unfortunately, I haven’t been getting better actually, I’ve probably gone a little more in the wrong direction 🙃. The good news is I FINALLY have an amazing doctor who is listening, digging into things, and has multiple referrals on the go. Now we wait… because apparently answers like to move at the speed of a basset hound client I have on a hot day. 😂🐶 won’t say her name haha

Until we figure out what the heck my body is doing, I’ve had to put myself first a little more than I’m used to and trust me when I say this it’s been extremely hard

I’m also trying to soak up the last bit of summer with my kids. With my two oldest getting ready to leave the house this fall, this mama is realizing I only get so many summers with everyone under one roof… and right now, making those memories needs to come before making every doodle fluffy. ❤️😂

I haven’t forgotten about my regulars! I have a list of the pups I know are waiting for me. On a good day, if I’m free and feeling up to it, I’ll head down to the shop, work my way through a few and reach out as I can. ✂️🐾

I’m sorry I can’t give everyone a normal schedule right now, and I truly appreciate everyone who has been patient, checked in on me, or simply understood. 💜

So enjoy what’s left of summer, spend time with your people, spoil your dogs (obviously 😏), and take care of yourselves.

The dog hair will still be there tomorrow…
Trust me. It ALWAYS is. 😂🐾

Also side note I wish I took pictures of my girls giving the corgis a bath let’s say it was quite the ordeal and I think they have a new appreciation on my job and probably don’t expect their help again 😆 I was hoping to train them to take over lol.

Good morning, dog families! 🐾

I hope everyone is having an amazing start to summer!

I know I had originally planned on being back to work July 6, and I have slowly started taking on a dog or two here and there. I’m still having some difficult days health wise, but thankfully I’m starting to have some good ones too.

Life has also thrown me a few unexpected challenges over the last little while, including the heartbreaking loss of one of my own dogs. As silly as it might sound, coming back to groom everyone else’s fur babies has been harder emotionally than I ever imagined.

For now, I’ll be keeping my schedule very limited and only booking certain appointments. At this time, I’m only able to take on short shave downs, bath & brushes, and some tidy-ups. Unfortunately, I just don’t have it in me physically to do heavy de-matting or more time consuming grooms right now.

If you’re needing to book, please send me a message! I’ll let you know when I can get your pup in, or if I think they’ll need a groom sooner than I’m able to accommodate, I’ll happily refer you to someone I trust for this visit.

I truly appreciate everyone’s patience, kindness, and understanding while I work my way back. Thank you for continuing to support my little business it means the world to me, and I can’t wait until I’m back to loving on all of your pups full time again. ❤️🐶

🐾 Well dog friends… I promise I haven’t forgotten about you! 🐾

First off, thank you all for being so patient and understanding while I’ve been taking some time off to get myself feeling better. The good news is I’m slowly starting to come around. ❤️

The bad news? Apparently life didn’t get the memo. 😂 Between wrapping up the kids’ school year, Kloe’s graduation on Friday (seriously… how do I have a kid graduating?!), and Easton heading off to Hockey Alberta tryouts next week, things are still a little wild around here.

I’m going to start opening my July schedule, but due to my health I’ll still be limiting how many dogs I can take and which dogs I can physically do. I hate saying no, but I also don’t want to overdo it and end up back at square one.

If I can’t get your pup in, Nadja from Pawsitive Pet Grooming has offered to help me out. She’s currently booking about 1-2 weeks out herself, but we’ll be chatting over the next week and making a plan to hopefully get her into my shop for a few days to help me get caught up. Many of you know she taught me everything I know, so your pups would be in great hands. 🥰

I also have someone willing to help with bath & brush appointments on the days this body decides it would rather nap than work. 😅 If you’re okay with someone else loving on your pup in my shop, let me know and I can get you booked in with her.

Give me till next week to put out a schedule and to talk to these amazing ladies who have offered to help me out.

Well friends, unfortunately I have some not-so-fun news.

I regret to inform everyone that I’ll be taking more time off than originally expected, effective immediately. After a hospital visit and under doctor’s orders, I am unable to work right now while we wait for further testing and answers , I might be able to squeeze in a couple certain dogs but I’ll contact you.

To all of my amazing clients, and especially my four legged friends, I am so incredibly sorry. I know some of you were due for a spa day, a tidy-up, or a much needed summer haircut. If your humans are looking at you and wondering if you’re slowly turning into a mop, please know I feel terrible that I can’t be there right now to help.

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love my job and all of your dogs. Having to step away unexpectedly is not something I take lightly, and I hate letting people down.

At this point, I don’t have a return date or many answers, but I promise I’ll keep everyone updated as I know more.

Thank you all for your patience, understanding, and kindness during this time. It truly means more than you know.

🐾 Summer Update from Mutts & Manes 🐾

Just a heads up that I will be taking some time off starting June 22nd and will be back grooming on July 6th.

For the summer, I will be reducing my schedule to 3 grooming days per week and will not be taking on any new clients at this time. I appreciate your understanding as I work on finding a schedule that balances work, family, and all the summer activities that keep us busy.

If you’re one of my regular 6-8 week clients, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I don’t have my July schedule finalized quite yet, but I should have it ready shortly and can start a list of those needing appointments.

While I’m officially “off,” please don’t be afraid to send a message. If I’m sitting on my butt doing absolutely nothing that morning or afternoon, I’d be more than happy to sneak in a small dog groom or a bath & brush and come collect some dog kisses. 🐶❤️

Thank you all for your continued support and for trusting me with your furry family members. I truly appreciate each and every one of you.
