Dash’s mom reached out to me for help feeling overwhelmed with his frequent, prolonged barking, difficulty settling around guests, and his tendency to ignore/avoid attempts to call him inside while out in the yard. 

Our first priority was booking a vet appointment to address any physical discomfort that may have been contributing to the behaviour. In doing so, we discovered that Dash was suffering from eczema. Treatment of his skin issues resulted in an immediate and noticeable positive change in Dash’s behaviour. 

We then began virtual sessions, focusing on fulfilling Dash’s enrichment needs, managing his environment, and reinforcing specific behaviours. Last week we were able to meet in person at my client’s home. Dash was relaxed, attentive, and engaged throughout our session - a feat that would not have been possible two months ago!

I’m so proud of Dash and his mom, and what they’ve been able to achieve in such a short time. Way to go! 🧡
