The company was established by avid dog lover and Hamilton resident Jill Hamilton. She has years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages and attitudes. Jill has taken various courses pertaining to professional pet care and she keeps her education up to date. Clients

can feel at ease knowing their walker at A Walk in the Bark is trained in pet first aid and fully insured and bonded. A Walk in the Bark services are available to residence within the city of Hamilton. Interested clients are asked to contact A Walk in the Bark for an initial phone interview and to schedule a complimentary meet and greet.

A few long weekend pet safety reminders:
• Keep pets leashed at campsites and unfamiliar places
• Bring lots of fresh water and shade for outdoor adventures
• Never leave pets unattended near campfires or BBQs
• Fireworks can be stressful — keep pets indoors with a cozy safe space and updated ID tags
• Watch out for hot pavement, ticks, and wildlife during hikes and walks 🐾

⛑️ First Aid & Furry Friends 🐾

At A Walk in the Bark, keeping your pets safe is always our top priority — which is why we complete our Pet First Aid & CPR recertification every three years! 💪🐶🐱

This time, our training took place at the Burlington Humane Society with , where we had the opportunity to not only refresh our skills, but also tour their facility and meet some of their adorable adoptable dogs and cats (yes… it took everything not to bring them all home 🥹).

The program was thorough, hands-on and incredibly educational — giving us the confidence to handle emergencies and care for your pets with the highest level of safety and professionalism.

We’re proud to continue investing in education and staying up to date so your pets are always in the best hands. ❤️🐾
