This week we are celebrating our Technicians!

Missy is our Head Tech and has been with us since we first opened here at CAH. Missy has grown into her role as Head Tech and is a HUGE part of who we are and how we practice. Apart from having mad technical skills, Missy works incredibly hard behind the scenes for her team, advocating strongly for work life balance and her teams overall mental health and well-being. She makes sure we are all getting our needs met throughout the busy and sometimes very emotionally charged days. We all recognize what a huge task that is to undertake and are incredibly grateful that Missy does this willing! The whole team knows that no matter how stressful the day might be, Missy has their back!

Jocelyn is one of those 'all-rounder' techs as her skills are showcased in all areas of the clinic. She is also the 'go to' tech for all things related to veterinary diet as pet nutrition is one of her passions. She takes great pride in her work which translates to the best possible care for your pet! Her commitment to excellent patient care and being a valuable team member are incredibly important to her and it shows!

Deb is also highly skilled in all areas of the clinic and especially passionate about anesthesia. The team appreciates how calm and levelheaded she is as she approaches whatever task is thrown at her! She recently returned to us after her maternity leave just in time for one of our busiest months ever and we wonder how we ever managed without her!! Every team needs a Deb! Seriously. (But get your own, you can't have ours!)

Jaimee might be our youngest technician but don't mistake that for being any less skilled or competent in veterinary medicine! This RVT knows her stuff and is always ready willing and more then able to jump in when needed! Jaimee is a long-standing member of our team in various roles which makes her an even more valuable team member!

Danielle is currently on maternity leave but a post celebrating our RVT's couldn't happen without her in it. Danielle's tech skills and protocols that she has helped put into place within the practice over the years are top notch and there will be BIG celebrations when she returns! Enjoy your time away from the clinic life Danielle, we miss you every single day!

If you're at the clinic this week, please give our amazing technicians a 'thank you' for all that they do as we couldn't do ANY of this without them!

Help us extend a huge thank you to our incredible veterinary assistant Keisha and our kennel attendant Riley! Their compassion, dedication, and hard work ensure that every patient feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. From the behind-the-scenes tasks to the hands-on care, they get their hands dirty and make a difference every single day. We’re so grateful for everything they do, the clinic would not run the same without you!

Keisha is truly one of those incredible team members who seems to be everywhere and always ready to help with a positive attitude and welcoming smile! While she is a Veterinary Assistant and was recently promoted to inventory manager too, her role goes far beyond that. From helping at reception to comforting and restraining patients to keeping the clinic clean, well-stocked, and taking on all the extra little tasks. Keisha is always willing to jump in wherever she is needed making her a truly invaluable part of our team.

Riley may be the youngest member of our team, but she plays an important role in keeping our clinic running smoothly! As our afternoon Kennel Attendant, Riley helps make sure our hospitalized patients have a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment throughout their stay. From cleaning and tidying to setting up kennels and preparing everything our patient’s need, Riley takes on the behind-the-scenes work that is so important to their care. We’re so grateful for Riley’s hard work, reliability.

If anything, the University of Toronto researchers discovered, we humans are the ones disturbing our dogs’ sleep. Does your dog sleep in your bed with you? This coming Monday we are CLOSED for the Thanksgiving Holiday. As always the Brant Norfolk Veterinary Clinic is open for any emergencies. Please check your pet's food and pet medications TODAY so you don't run out over the weekend!
