Full circle. September lambing started with a Canadian Arcott ewe lamb out of Sheep Trax Polly 213K sired by Sheep Trax Nexus 457N. Today it finished up with a ewe lamb out of Sheep Trax Polly 16H, also sired by Nexus 457N. This girl, who has the coolest markings, is also the heaviest lamb of the group, at 14.28 lbs.

SOLD There are now four Canadian Arcott ewe lambs still available. (The other three are being sold as yearlings in the 2027 Badlands Spring Select Sale.) Our very small group of fall lambers got a bit smaller last night. Technically about 4 days early, so of course it's a girl. We seem to get an early girlie every year! Canadian Arcott out of Sheep Trax Polly 213K sired by Sheep Trax Nexus 457N.

SOLD! I want to start by saying that you will not find nicer cats than these girls. Temperament-wise, you just won't. They have grown out to be much prettier than most people expected when they were little (as I knew they would), but Bengals are about more than just bling. They are so social and gregarious and friendly, oh my goodness they just don't come any nicer. And entertaining? You have no idea.

What's happening now is that my kijiji ad is generating a record number of tire kickers. This is because they are older, and once they get a little older, people think you just give them away for nothing or next to nothing. Well here's the problem with that- if you can't (or won't) pay a VERY REASONABLE price for a Bengal, that tells me you are just looking for the freebies. If you can't afford the kitten, you can't afford the spay, the potential vet care, the decent quality food. And if that is you- you ain't gettin' one of my kitties.

UPDATE- three have been selected to keep back to sell as yearlings in the 2027 Badlands Spring Select Sale.
PM anytime for GenOvis data, pedigree info, pin to come and look. No tire kickers, please. I have been dealing with them all summer. Mostly on the Bengals, but it amounts to the same waste of time. They will not go as commercials. Ram lambs available too!

Two females left from Bailey's spring litter, still searching for their forever home! Having parents like Shredder and Bailey means that they were predestined to have the nicest temperaments you could ask for. Bengals can be aloof and standoffish, especially when they are still in their family unit, usually bonding very quickly to their new families after they leave mom and siblings, This litter came pre-sweetened!
Like typical Bengals, they are not keen on being held. But that doesn't mean they won't be right in your face, especially when you are doing something. Doesn't matter what, particularly, but they (and especially the darker one) are most helpful when it involves water.
Extra special bargain to someone who takes the pair and keeps them together! They are very bonded and the older they get, the more bonded they become.

This is what it's come to. Sheep theft is a burgeoning industry and it's hitting scarily close to home. I need to take keys to go feed rams now.

We had what may be our best summer sale ever this past weekend, and we want to thank all the buyers and bidders, especially the ones who made the end such a nail-biter! There are sheep going from BC to Nova Scotia and even one ram off to a Kansas buyer.
