It’s with heavy hearts that we had to say goodbye to my beloved girl Daisy last night. 💔
Daisy was a 13.5 years old Newfoundland. She was not only a family pet but a nanny dog and the reason behind my Pack Walks.
I met Daisy at 6 months old in my group obedience training class. We started the training journey and I was obsessed with her from the moment I laid eyes on this big fluffy goof ball. After getting to know her owner we chatted about how I often walk my own personal dog daily and she asked if I could take Daisy at the same time as she worked long hours and to get out that extra puppy energy. I jumped on board immediately with excitement! After a few days I decided to open up my mornings to offering pack walks in the community as this wasn’t a common service offered at the time, within 2 weeks I had a solid group I walked daily and after 12 years later I’m still going strong and love every minute of it!
After a few years of walking Daisy daily and boarding when her owner needed me , her owner became ill and unfortunately passed away. She was such a sweet and thoughtful lady, I was so devastated. We had previously discussed I would take care of Daisy for her and love her as my own. And that’s just what I did. ❤️
Since the moment we brought the boys home from
the hospital she immediately followed and laid by their side. She didn’t go far and always calmly laid by whoever was holding the baby as if to protect in a friendly way. Her motherly instincts were strong and she loved my boys so much.
Daisy you will be so missed! I love you so much. I hope you’re running freely with Trudi Wilkinson. We love you 💔
