Last night in class my perfect angel of a dog walked across the room with me in a perfect heel, staring up at me lovingly, as we went to the door to demo a stay while the door is open.

I immediately had to stop and let the people know that despite Frankie's illusion of perfection, she has been an absolute menace on leash this week, taking every opportunity to rip me down the sidewalk.

It's really easy to see brief glimpses of other people with their dogs, and feel like you're not doing enough, or feeling that "my dog could never do that" feeling.

Please rest assured that nobody is perfect. And be wary of those who say that they are 🙏
