Please be advised that Clayton Park Vet will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7th for Labour Day. 🇨🇦

We will resume our regular hours on Tuesday, September 8th.

🚨 Pet Emergency?
If your pet experiences an emergency while we are closed, please contact 4 Paws Veterinary Hospital at 902-225-7543.

Please remember to make sure your pets have any medications, food, or other essentials they may need before the long weekend! 🐶🐱, if your pet is running low, give us a call 902-443-4345.

Sweet little Pippa was in to see Dr. Johnston today because she’s been having some recurring eye troubles. 👀 After her exam, she was prescribed some eye drops to help get that eye feeling better!
We’re keeping our paws crossed that Pippa’s eye clears up soon. 🥰
And of course, no visit to the vet is complete without lots of butt rubs! 😂💗 Pippa is the goodest girl and was more than happy to accept all the extra love and attention.

🐾 Sweet Hugsley was in for a visit today! 💙
Hugsley came in to see Dr. Johnston for his ACTH stimulation test, an important part of monitoring his Cushing's disease.
Cushing's disease occurs when the body produces too much cortisol, a hormone that helps regulate stress and many normal body functions. Common signs can include increased thirst and urination, a bigger appetite, panting, a pot-bellied appearance, and thinning of the skin or coat.
The ACTH stimulation test helps us make sure Hugsley's medication is working properly and that his dosage is just right. Regular monitoring is an important part of keeping pets with Cushing's disease happy, healthy, and comfortable.
Hugsley was such a brave boy during his visit, and we're so proud of him! 🐶❤️
