As a fear‑free grooming salon, we meet many dogs who need extra patience, choice, and thoughtful handling. Hollywood is one of those dogs. Nail trims have always been scary for her, and her mom came to us looking for support.
During her first visit, it was clear that previous nail-trim experiences may not have felt safe or comfortable for her, as she showed signs of being overwhelmed as soon as her paws were approached. Her mom was incredibly open to working together, so we built a plan focused on happy visits, offering choice, and trialing anxiety medication with her veterinary team.
After a few short, positive visits, Hollywood began opting into handling. And to our surprise, just as we were wrapping up one of those happy visits, she jumped onto the grooming table herself and allowed us to trim two paws. That moment was entirely her choice. ❤️
