A couple more cats that have come through recently and now have been adopted to new forever homes. ❤️ This is why we keep doing this, seeing the cats go from in limbo to finding a new loving family makes it all worth while.

So just a quick update we have updated our name from Uniacke Square to Halifax, Cat Drop Inn and Rescue because while we are located in Uniacke Square the community we accept cats from is not limited to Uniacke Square so we wanted the name to reflect that.

Got a call all the way from Ontario about this little one we were told someone put her out because they didn't want her. She has gone to Spay Day and no doubt will also be adopted soon.

We got an update on Crunch, he has been adopted and now has a new home. We are so happy for him and hope he is enjoying his new family. 😁

Another kitty came to us last night and left just as quick. This is Coco, his family moved and couldn't keep him but wanted to make sure he went to a good home. He is now with Spay Day waiting to see the vet and hopefully get the all clear to be put up for adoption.

Well our boy Crunch that we took in back in the fall has left for Spay Day today. He will wait to see a vet and they will try to help him lose some weight before being put up for adoption. We wish him luck in his future journeys and hope he finds his furever home. We will miss him and his quirky personality, but not the extra work that came with having him.

This is Crunch, he is settling in to his temporary housing arrangements well, lounging, looking out the window and getting lots of attention. He's definitely a sweetie. He was surrendered because the owner's child was allergic.

Well someone said we are no longer a Cat Drop Inn but a retirement home since all of the cats we have recently taken in are over the age of 10. We have a Female age 18, who is not thrilled about her new accommodations so mostly hides. 2 boys ages 10+ whose elderly owner recently passed away leaving them with no where to go and Crunch who is 12 and just came to us yesterday. We can not stress enough the importance of spaying and neutering your cats. Letting your cats out to become pregnant puts them and their babies at risk for serious illness and sometimes even death. Shelters are full, rescues are full and the demand to take in unwanted , abandoned or cats with no home is higher than ever. We have never ever been so full we did not have room to take in any more cats. That has changed and we are also struggling to keep up with the amount of cats in need of a new home.
