Heat stress can have a broader impact than many expect. It can reduce feed intake, affect milk production, slow rumen function, and impact reproduction and future performance. These changes can begin earlier than anticipated as temperatures start to rise. Taking a proactive approach now can help avoid production losses later in the season.
