Our roof is getting an upgrade! While we undergo this construction, please be aware that some banging/loud noises are going on throughout the clinic. Please let us know if we need to accommodate or reschedule your appointment during this time 💙

🚨NEW ADOPTABLES ALERT! 🚨

Mayhem and Havoc are here, and they’re looking for their forever homes! These sisters are some of the sweetest kittens we’ve ever met, and we know they’d make the best companions. They’re playful and chill at the same time, and we simply can’t handle their cuteness. They’re adoptable through Dogwood Animal Rescue and are available to meet any time during our open hours. We have some exciting news! Please welcome our newest Veterinarian, Dr. Sydney Campbell! 🐾🩺

Dr. Sydney recently earned her DVM degree with distinction from the Ontario Veterinary College. Before becoming a veterinarian, she worked as a Registered Veterinary Technician for nearly seven years in small animal general practice, building a strong foundation in patient care, clinical skills, and client communication.

Sydney is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care to both her patients and their families. She enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine, with special interests in internal medicine, emergency and critical care, and ultrasonography.

Outside of the clinic, Sydney enjoys spending time with her cat, reading, playing video games, and exploring new walking trails.

Please extend a warm welcome to Dr. Sydney! We are SO excited to have her on the team! 🤍🩺

☀️🥵 The heat is on, Guelph!! 🐾

With temperatures rising, it’s important to remember that our pets feel the heat too. Even a short walk or time spent outdoors can quickly become dangerous during a heatwave.

⚠️ EXTRA CAUTION for brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds such as Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, Pugs, Boston Terriers, Boxers, and Shih Tzus. These pets have narrower airways, making it much harder for them to cool themselves by panting. They can overheat much faster than other breeds, even with minimal exercise or time outdoors.

Heatstroke IS a medical emergency. If you think your pet is overheating, move them to a cool area, offer small amounts of cool (not ice cold) water, and contact your veterinarian or nearest emergency clinic immediately!

If you’re feeling the heat, chances are your pets are too. Let’s work together to keep them safe, cool, and comfortable this summer! 💙
