JV Training Reinforcement-Based Training for Dogs Julia is a spirited woman and graduate of the Animal Behavioural College in Canine Obedience.

**The JV Training team continues to follow all required and recommended practices to protect ourselves and our clients from the spread of COVID-19, including physical distancing, masks, vaccinations and thorough sanitation protocols. Her dedication and passion for the animals combined with her patience for the job has made her a very successful trainer. Julia has spent over 10 years in the trainin

g industry working with many different dogs and has developed a unique approach to canine education. Her positive methods and willingness to work with you and your dog closely have "wowed" many people. Julia is also a Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed through the CCPDT and continues to expand on her knowledge of the trade each year through the Canadian Association of Professional Dog Trainers. On top of teaching her own classes and running the business, Julia has spent the past few years working with puppies and adult dogs at Canine Academy, teaching classes for the College Royal Dog Show, and being the oncall trainer and assessment specialist for Needlenose Greyhound Adoption. Raised on a horse farm, she has always had a deep connection with the many animals around her, big and small. She has experience working with aggression cases, anxiety, as well as her year long dedication to educating herself on many different breeds. She has also successfully trained her own dogs, one as a Service Dog for National Service Dogs in Cambridge, and one as a Rally Obedience champion (who is also her loving companion), and an off-the-track "demo dog" Greyhound. Julia will also go that extra mile and come to you in your own home with training solutions and programs, or provide a selection of excellent classes to join with your dog. Pulling, over-excited, or easily distracted dog? 🦮

Whether your walks outside have become unmanageable, or you are simply looking to brush up on some loose leash walking skills, this class is for you!

This 4 week class is designed to teach you how to achieve that loose leash with your dog, even around distractions! Classes will take place indoors at Impressive Canines in Kitchener, with our last class being outdoors in the neighbourhood.

Learn the basics of body language, how to recognize if your dog is moving over-threshold, and how to get their attention back FAST. We also focus heavily on leash handling skills, how to build a focused heel, and the start of off-leash skills. All games and exercises demonstrated are proven methods of success.

JV Training's next Puppy Class is happening on Saturday September 12th at 10am! Give your newest addition the paw-sitive start they deserve by joining puppy class. We give you and your puppy those key skills needed to have a happy, well mannered pup and help set them up for a lifetime of success.

We cover the basics of puppy manners, foundational skills, and common household issues and how to resolve them quickly.
