🚨FIREWORKS Long weekend reminder from Backstreet Paws Rescue!

With the long weekend here, fireworks will be going off in many areas. Please remember that while fireworks are fun for people, they can be absolutely terrifying for our pets. Every year, many scared dogs panic, bolt, and end up lost.

Please keep your dogs safely indoors during fireworks, ensure collars and tags are secure, and never leave them unattended outside. Even dogs who normally stay close can become frightened and run when startled.

Close windows and curtains, turn on the TV or music for background noise, and create a calm, safe space where your pets can feel secure.

A few extra precautions can save a life this weekend. ❤️🐶
