Come along for a ride on a young friesian stud.. my Lil trail pony 🀣🀣
Western saddle so the whole creaky saddle white noise allllllll the way.. soothing
Never never regret starting babies in harness in the bush.. some pretend they never have been in the bush before ahem... VERSACE..
But most... quite prefer riding in the bush when they go under saddle!!

Mama Versace had some recoup time after baby duty now she's happy to be in this mode again I think. She is the sweetest mare . Day 1 and dropping or leveling her head at the trot on the lunge already she is SO willing. . BABY Jelle all the way! And her dam is the sweetest as well so what can we expect... ❀️
Cant you just taste the delicious grass she got as an after work treat??????

Delicious scrumptious grasses....

Thea is really growing on me... stands like a gem waiting for the next thing to happen, didn't bother with other horses at all. Hopes on and off the trailer no problems.. thank you Lord for a sweet mare...

Blessed beyond measure to spend time between the ears of a friesian stud. And mare... ... straddled a few new things this week... horses continuing to keep me humble... trailering like ol pros, so brave off farm and trail riding my little ponies..
Stefaan and Thea.
Jelle boy was so jealous when Stefaan took us in the bush for a ride haven't seen him run around calling like that in a long time πŸ₯° he missed his stall-buddy!!

First schooling day for Steffan.. as the judges stated .. considering the atmospheric conditions... he did good! 63% for 2nd place in the training level test.

Yes that was lightening..
Yes that is thunder rolling almost the entire time.. it was a long drive to go watch him do his test so pleased that he was able to perform! And with how he settled, showed, respected others, and we got to hang out awhile as it was POURING the entire time. Till we left he was chilled and ready for the trip back. So. Much. Rain.

Ignore the. Well. Mud. We need rain. We need rain... we need... rain..

Anywhere. I hate putting new horses in a paddock.. I dislike reintroducing them back into their original paddocks but wow ... never has there been an easier reintegration lol. Leave it to versace to establish the pecking order with style and grace. No fuss.

There wil be riffs yet I know but the 4 came flying in from the back field like a lion was after them I expected a much more dramatic. .hello ..

Friesians.. breed character trait is a flowing neck to withers connection. Ie. Upright head neck stance..
Light pole to head connection..
I think the long and low working is especially hard for this breed? This mare for sure anyways... always head in the clouds she is still very green but we got some lovely **lower moments (on a LONG rein/first time she relaxed into it) yesterday after a long ride. Took a picture to last longer 🀣
