First schooling day for Steffan.. as the judges stated .. considering the atmospheric conditions... he did good! 63% for 2nd place in the training level test.

Yes that was lightening..
Yes that is thunder rolling almost the entire time.. it was a long drive to go watch him do his test so pleased that he was able to perform! And with how he settled, showed, respected others, and we got to hang out awhile as it was POURING the entire time. Till we left he was chilled and ready for the trip back. So. Much. Rain.

The mares' world got expanded the other day ❤️

They are SO happy! A little soggy out there but thats ok....
As a horse breeder.. so happy to see 2 Steffan babies thriving!!! Duchess the yrling and Gucci.. enjoy Gucci sometime soon you'll take your first big step to being a mature horse.... weaning time.. Versace spends more time away from you then with you these days so it's about time...

Ignore the. Well. Mud. We need rain. We need rain... we need... rain..

Anywhere. I hate putting new horses in a paddock.. I dislike reintroducing them back into their original paddocks but wow ... never has there been an easier reintegration lol. Leave it to versace to establish the pecking order with style and grace. No fuss.

There wil be riffs yet I know but the 4 came flying in from the back field like a lion was after them I expected a much more dramatic. .hello ..

Friesians.. breed character trait is a flowing neck to withers connection. Ie. Upright head neck stance..
Light pole to head connection..
I think the long and low working is especially hard for this breed? This mare for sure anyways... always head in the clouds she is still very green but we got some lovely **lower moments (on a LONG rein/first time she relaxed into it) yesterday after a long ride. Took a picture to last longer 🤣

Yup all my horses now are black 😇🥰
How we had fun Cassie but how much more fun we'd have now after many years of riding!! So thankful for excellent tempered **First horses!!

Plod along the trail, field.... blueberry rock...
Good ol' Luna helping train the young ones... human and horse....
Today was day 3 we worked hard last 2 days so today we just did easy walk trot on a trail riding. Lots of natural stretching😆 as Thea looks at, well, EVERYTHING.

I lead by example.. talk talk talk🤣 especially on the trail with a young horse or any... warn those bears, deer, partridge, everything that youre a coming a long that trail!

Thea had a trail riding buddy today.. ie. Gas pedal got stuck so she met up with the trees on the side of the rd a few times as brakes... then we caught on..

Shes had a busy week so she got a bath hah. Forgot the after pictures but shes a new mare with the week washed off of her.

Quick question. Why is it that, you bath a horse they come out shiny and clean after smelling like a new car... and you are... so not..
