Meet Harlem 🖤🐈‍⬛

At 15 years old, this handsome guy got to stay comfortable at home for his arthritis medication and nail trim.

For many senior cats, home visits can make a huge difference. Being in their familiar environment means less stress, less anxiety, and a more relaxed experience for everyone.

Harlem did amazing as usual, and it’s always a privilege to help keep him feeling his best. 🫶🏼

Thinking your pet might benefit from veterinary care at home? We’d love to help.

Meet one of my sweet clients, Sally. 🐾

Sally gets monthly in-home arthritis injections to help keep her comfortable and moving well. She’s always happy as long as there’s a yummy treat 😋

She’s such a sweet girl, and it’s always a pleasure visiting her.

Helping pets stay comfortable in the comfort of their own home is one of the best parts of my job. 🩵

A sweet at-home grooming visit with this handsome guy on Wednesday. 🐱✨

He tends to get matted along his sides, so his veterinarian prescribed an oral sedative to help make grooming as comfortable and low-stress as possible. With the help of some lickable treats (which he enthusiastically approved of 😹), we were able to get him cleaned up and feeling much better.

Every cat is different, and sometimes a little extra support makes all the difference in creating a safe, positive grooming experience. Regular brushing and routine grooming can help prevent painful mats and keep cats comfortable.

Kolbe was a beautiful boy who sadly passed away from Stage 4 kidney (renal) failure. The months I was fortunate enough to spend with him were truly special, and I will always cherish the time we shared.

His owner was referred to me by her veterinarian. Kolbe was a rescue who had previously contracted leptospirosis, a serious bacterial infection that can damage the kidneys, the liver, or both. Although he survived the infection itself, it left him with irreversible kidney damage that eventually progressed to Stage 4 kidney disease.

In Stage 4 kidney failure, approximately 85–90% of kidney function has been lost. Because the kidneys can no longer effectively remove waste products or maintain the body’s fluid and electrolyte balance, Kolbe received daily subcutaneous fluids. These treatments helped keep him hydrated, supported his electrolyte levels, and flushed toxins from his body, allowing him to feel more comfortable and enjoy a better quality of life.

Despite everything he faced, Kolbe met each day with quiet strength and a playful spirit. He was loved immeasurably by his owner who did everything she could to give him a comfortable and happy life. He continued to love, trust, and enjoy the moments that mattered most with the people who loved him.

Kolbe, it was an absolute privilege to care for you. You have earned your peace, and your memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved you. Rest in peace, sweet Kolbe. You will be missed. 🕊️🐾

This is my journey to becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician. 🩵🐾

I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember, and I’m so grateful I get to live my dream every day.

I’ve been caring for pets in Sudbury, Ontario, since 2000. My journey started as a receptionist at an animal hospital before I went back to school to become an RVT, a decision that changed my life.

Today, through Vet Tech Plus, I provide compassionate in-home veterinary care to help pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in the place they know best: home. 🏡
Thank you for trusting me with your beloved four-legged family members. 🩵

Meet Darby getting her knee iced and a popscicle after her session. Darby had cruciate ligament surgery (TPLO) approximately 2 weeks ago. I come to see her twice a week to do some range of motion exercises and make sure the incision looks good and no major issues.
Mom also had some kind words to say as well.
Thank you for letting me be a part of Darby's recovery.❤️🐕‍🦺🐾🐾
