Today Whines & Lickers Pet Spa is officially 3 years old!🤯🎂🎉

I can't believe it's already been 3 years since I flipped my open sign and welcomed my first Grande Prairie client in. It has been such an amazing 3 years.🗝️🏡🥹

Three years of meeting so many incredible people, taking care of over 2,000 dogs & creating bonds that mean the absolute world to me all while establishing a business I am so proud of!🥰🐩✂️

I cannot thank all of you enough for everything.. 🖤

To anyone that has trusted me with their dog(s), whether it was once or 75 times, thank you! To anyone that ever recommended my business, thank you! To everyone that follows here on Facebook and likes/shares posts, thank you! Without you, Whines & Lickers Pet Spa would not be what it is today. Because of you I have been able to live my dream of doing what I love every day for the past 3 years. I am beyond grateful for everything, especially the family I've gained over the past 1,095 days🫂🙏🏼💐

It's often overlooked that we groomers experience grief as well.. 😔

One of the hardest parts of this profession is losing a beloved dog. Some people may think "it's just a job" but we create a special bond with 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 dog that spends any amount of time on our table and they become 𝙤𝙪𝙧 family too.

Especially dogs like sweet Tika here, whose final visit with me was yesterday as her amazing family has made the extremely tough decision to let her rest peacefully this coming weekend🪽

She's been on my table 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩 for the past nearly 𝟑 𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒔. I've come to know her quirks & memorized all her spots. I've sung to her & told her stories. I've shared lots of love and treats. I've watched her grey become more prominent and her steps slow. I absolutely love her wagging tail. She holds a special place in my heart that will feel very empty with every passing month she's not in my schedule❤️‍🩹

I know she's lived a great life & I am 𝙨𝙤 incredibly thankful for the time I got with her. Still, I'll grieve silently with a few tears shed in my shop. As I do when 𝘢𝘯𝘺 client crosses the rainbow bridge🌈🐾

Please know that I love all of your dogs as if they were my own and every loss is one I feel too!
