Happy International Dog Day from my hooligans to yours! I had intentions all day of getting a beautiful pack portrait outside, perfect lighting, vibrant green backdrop of trees...but a dim 11 pm kitchen snap it is 😅
I feel like this photo sums up the Tiefengrund dogs' personalities so well...
Old Man Kaiser, not at all Interested in joining this debacle. There was much milling and jostling and shoving and I made him get off his bed and come join. He was not impressed.
Little Io, all vibrant energy and focus and one interesting distraction away from tearing off to investigate...
The Queen herself, Juneau, keeping an eagle eye on Vesper, as she had been breaking her stay and Juneau sorely wanted to handle the breach of discipline herself, but I told her I'd manage without her "help"
Golden Boy Draco... My reminder of why I love male dogs more than females - all adoration and focus and eagerness to please for the sake of the bond we have...
And happy little Vesper! Who looks like an innocent angel, but was the one blatantly breaking her stay and trying to sn**ch all the treats out of my hands before the others could have any. She is my most cheerfully disobedient dog and I can't even be too annoyed as she is so sweet about it 😄
I have been so blessed to own the dogs I have, past and present. Some were taken much too soon, and I still grieve them, but I cherish each and every moment I had and have with every dog who has blessed my life with their loyalty, intelligence, personality, and love.
Hug your babies and tell them they're the best dog, because they all are ❤️
