โWhatโs a broke horse?โ
A broke horse is priceless.
They are the one you can rely on, always.
The one you reach for when youโre down.
When you havenโt ridden in a month.
When youโre a little nervous.
They are the horse that makes you feel like you can fly.
Your best mount, your partner-in-crime.
A broke horse will babysit your kids, carry your fears, and dissipate your depression.
A broke horse will look down the side of the mountain and find his way through.
A broke horse will do what you ask, when you ask itโฆ yet knows enough to know what to ignore. (Little kid legs, perhaps, when theyโre not ready to go fast.)
Theyโre not always the fast-spinning horses, nor are they the ones that lope around bridleless, and no, they are not the ones that lay down on command! The broke horse is much more than tricks and maneuversโฆ
A broke horse is not always a winning horse. They will not always get first in the show penโฆ. but they will look after you.
A broke horse is made through years of hard work. Real days. Sticky situations. Poor footing, bad weather, and outside of fencing.
A broke horse is finished, but not every finished horse is broke.
A broke horse is hard to find, and a broke horse is priceless.
