A Friendly Summer Booking Reminder

We've had another wave of booking requests expire because deposits weren't received within the 24-hour confirmation window.

Please don't assume your booking is secured simply because you've submitted a request. Your reservation is not confirmed until your deposit has been received.

Here's how it works:

1. Submit your booking request.

2. Watch your inbox for your approval and deposit request (usually the same day, or the following morning if your request comes in after hours).

3. Send your deposit within 24 hours.

4. Your spot is officially reserved.

If no deposit is received within 24 hours, the reservation is automatically cancelled and the space is immediately offered to families on our waitlist. During the busy summer months, those spots often disappear very quickly.

Unfortunately, we simply aren't able to send individual reminders or chase down unpaid bookings. With the volume of requests we receive this time of year, we rely on everyone to complete the confirmation process within the allotted time.

If your plans have changed, no problem at all — the booking will simply expire and the space can be offered to another family. But if you do want your reservation, please don't wait.

We'd much rather welcome your pup than have to tell you we're full because your booking expired.

Thanks for helping us keep things running smoothly for everyone this summer. 🐾💛

Hello friends! ☀️

Just a friendly reminder that daycare bookings are limited on days when the forecasted high is 26°C or higher.

From June through September, play-only daycare is paused on hot days to help protect the health and safety of all our guests. While we have plenty of shade, fresh water, and air-conditioned indoor spaces, active outdoor play simply isn't safe during periods of high heat.

If your daycare booking is essential (work, appointments, etc.), please send us an email with the details, and we'll do our very best to accommodate you.

At the moment, this affects June 30 through July 4.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep everyone safe and comfortable! 🐾

🥚 Farm Fresh Eggs Are Back! 🥚

Our farm fresh eggs are available once again!

Raised naturally, ethically, and yes, a little spoiled, our free-range hens produce some truly beautiful eggs. Each carton is filled with a stunning assortment of natural shell colours, and the eggs are antibiotic-free, hormone-free, and collected fresh.

Add a dozen (or two!) to your dog's upcoming booking to ensure they're ready and waiting for you at drop-off or pick-up. Simply let us know in the Notes section of your booking which day you'd like them.

Forgot to add it to the booking? No problem! Eggs are also available for purchase in person while quantities last.

With the warmer weather, the hens have been thriving and producing plenty of beautiful eggs, but availability can fluctuate, so reserving ahead is always a good idea.

🥚 Still only $5.00 per dozen

Fresh. Local. And almost too pretty to eat.

Check out this gorgeous home on Rice Lake! 😍

Now… not that we’re trying to encourage our favourite clients (and their pups) to move away or anything 👀 … but we’re always happy to help spread the word for a beautiful local property! 🐾

Our hearts are heavy today.

On Monday, April 21st, Jessica of Jess & Pets lost her home to a devastating house fire. She also lost two of her beloved dogs, Charlie and Jack, and one of her cats, Benji. Three of her cats were rescued, and her two children are safe, but the loss she is carrying is unimaginable and beyond words.

We don't know Jessica personally, but her reputation in our local pet care community speaks for itself. Those who do know her have always spoken of her highly, and as someone who loves her animals deeply, who shows up for the people and pets in her care, and who gives her whole heart to this work. For those of us who do what she does, this kind of loss is the one we can barely bring ourselves to imagine.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help Jessica and her two children with immediate needs — clothing, food, temporary housing, and care for her surviving cats — and to help them begin rebuilding.

If you're able to donate, please do. If you can't, sharing this post matters just as much.

Sending love to Jessica, her family, and everyone who knows and loves her. 💛

😎 LASTEST UPDATE! ... WE ARE BACK ONLINE! Everything was running ahead of schedule and smoothly and we are currently running perfectly! Fingers crossed it stays this way :) Thanks everyone for your patience!

🐾 UPDATE: Our internet situation — we have been given an estimated delivery window of April 3–10 for the new equipment. Until then, we are still operating with limited connectivity and doing our best to respond to messages, emails, and requests as they come through. Things are a bit slower than usual, so thank you for your patience while we limp along over here. 🐾

Happy Friday! Just a quick heads up that our internet has been down since Wednesday. We are waiting on new equipment to arrive and should have shipping details soon.

We do have limited connectivity, so messages and emails are getting through slowly but surely. If you’re waiting to hear back, I promise I will respond as soon as I can. Thank you for your patience!

Miss Alice would like to wish everyone a very happy ☘️ St. Patrick’s Day 🐾

🍀 Did you know?

In ancient Ireland, dogs, especially Irish Wolfhounds, were considered so valuable they were gifted to kings and nobility. Owning one wasn’t just about companionship… it was a symbol of status, power, and loyalty.

Safe to say, your dog still thinks they’re royalty 👑

🐾 Spring Break is right around the corner!

March Break (March 13 to 23) is coming up fast, and we are getting so excited to see everyone.

We still have a couple of spots available, so if you’re planning a getaway and need to book in your pups, please head over and book sooner rather than later (including daycare!). We’d love to have them, and we definitely don’t want anyone to miss out on a spot!

Looking forward to a fun week with the pack! 🐶☀️
