Our hearts are heavy today.

On Monday, April 21st, Jessica of Jess & Pets lost her home to a devastating house fire. She also lost two of her beloved dogs, Charlie and Jack, and one of her cats, Benji. Three of her cats were rescued, and her two children are safe, but the loss she is carrying is unimaginable and beyond words.

We don't know Jessica personally, but her reputation in our local pet care community speaks for itself. Those who do know her have always spoken of her highly, and as someone who loves her animals deeply, who shows up for the people and pets in her care, and who gives her whole heart to this work. For those of us who do what she does, this kind of loss is the one we can barely bring ourselves to imagine.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help Jessica and her two children with immediate needs — clothing, food, temporary housing, and care for her surviving cats — and to help them begin rebuilding.

😎 LASTEST UPDATE! ... WE ARE BACK ONLINE! Everything was running ahead of schedule and smoothly and we are currently running perfectly! Fingers crossed it stays this way :) Thanks everyone for your patience!

🐾 UPDATE: Our internet situation — we have been given an estimated delivery window of April 3–10 for the new equipment. Until then, we are still operating with limited connectivity and doing our best to respond to messages, emails, and requests as they come through. Things are a bit slower than usual, so thank you for your patience while we limp along over here. 🐾

Happy Friday! Just a quick heads up that our internet has been down since Wednesday. We are waiting on new equipment to arrive and should have shipping details soon.

🐾 Spring Break is right around the corner!

March Break (March 13 to 23) is coming up fast, and we are getting so excited to see everyone.

We still have a couple of spots available, so if you’re planning a getaway and need to book in your pups, please head over and book sooner rather than later (including daycare!). We’d love to have them, and we definitely don’t want anyone to miss out on a spot!

Add one on at booking, or grab one at check-in or check-out for your pup to enjoy! ❄️ Weather Update: Keeping a Close Watch ❄️

We are officially on "Winter Ugliness" watch for the rest of the week (Tuesday–Friday). We’re tracking a messy mix of freezing rain and snow, and we want to keep everyone in the loop regarding schedules.

The Game Plan:

Tuesday: Brunt of the weather arrives in the evening. Daycare should be fine!

Wednesday: This is the day we are watching most closely.

Overnight Guests: If you have a Wednesday pickup or drop-off, please consider a "Plan B." Early pickup or an additional night’s stay may be needed to avoid icy roads.

Daycare: We may need to cancel casual visits. Absolutely necessary visits are allowed, but strictly at your own discretion for driving.

Thursday & Friday: Lingering winter conditions. Thursday looks cloudy and cold, while Friday brings more snow and windier conditions.

We Are Prepared!
Don’t worry—the pups are in good hands. We have our generators at the ready and plenty of cozy blankets to keep everyone warm and safe.

Happy Valentine’s Day! 🐾

While you might be busy with chocolates or flowers today, we know that for most of you, your truest Valentine is currently napping at your feet or waiting by the door for a walk.

We spend so much time with your pups here at Tucked Inn that we’ve started to notice they all have their own unique way of saying "I love you." Some are leaners, some are gift-bringers, and some just want you to follow their nose on a long walk.

Starting this week, keep an eye out for your overnight boarding reminder email (sent 2 days before arrival). It will now include a link to update us on your dog’s current routine, health, and any special requests.

Why use it?
✅ Speedy Drop-off: Spend less time at the desk and get back to your day faster.
✅ Precision Care: Gives our team a "cheat sheet" for your dog's specific needs before they even walk through the door.
✅ Stress-Free: Everything is on file so you don't have to remember the small details on a busy morning.
